Summary
- Primal Storms event spawns in World of Warcraft are getting fixed to make earning achievements easier for fans soon.
- Blizzard said that the change will have to be implemented during maintenance, so the fix won't be released until next week's reset.
World of Warcraft is working on fixing the Primal Storms event spawns, but the fix might take a short time to implement. Once this issue is resolved, World of Warcraft fans should be able to earn the achievements associated with the Primal Storms much more easily.
Primal Storms were some of the first public events added in Dragonflight. During this activity, players can defeat elementally-empowered enemies and bosses, collect Elemental Overflow, and obtain special rewards. The event has four associated achievements, all of which are required for the World of Warcraft meta achievement that rewards Taivan. Unfortunately, issues with the event’s spawns have made completing these achievements a hassle.
However, World of Warcraft fans can look forward to a fix coming for the Primal Storms event soon. According to a forum post by WoW community manager Kaivax, Blizzard is hoping to implement two major fixes for the event. Firstly, the Primal Storms will stop spawning in the Primalist Future region – which doesn’t count towards all the achievements for the World of Warcraft public event – and a better scheduler will enable two storms to take place at once. That said, this change will have to be implemented during maintenance, so players will have to wait until the reset next week for it to be implemented.
When is WoW Fixing the Primal Storms Public Event?
- Tuesday, April 16.
At present, issues with the Primal Storms spawn rates in World of Warcraft have led to the Storm Chaser achievement being difficult to complete. To earn it, players must kill 200 enemies infused with each of the four elements in each of the four zones, meaning they must defeat a total of 3,200 NPCs across 16 different combinations of storms. Were that not enough, the spawn rate is unreliable, with Primal Storms in the Azure Span spawning up to six times as often as other places. Hopefully, this new fix will help fans acquire this achievement more easily.
Unfortunately, while World of Warcraft is fixing the Primal Storms, another problem has arisen with the reward from the meta achievement that has renewed interest in the public event in the first place. Players can obtain Taivan, a hound-like bakar, as a mount by completing A World Awoken, an achievement that requires fans to finish over 100 other achievements. Sadly, World of Warcraft quietly shrunk the massive mount to about half of his original size during the weekly reset on April 9, much to the disappointment of players. While the adorable mount is still a must-have for collectors, fans sincerely hope World of Warcraft will revert this change in a future patch as well.
