World of Warcraft just shared a heartwarming image of Malfurion Stormrage, Tyrande Whisperwind, and Shandris Feathermoon enjoying themselves after the former’s return from the Shadowlands. In this adorable World of Warcraft picture, Malfurion finally got the garden he was hoping for when he came back in Patch 10.2.5.

During Patch 10.2.5, Seeds of Renewal, World of Warcraft added several story epilogues that began the process of wrapping up Dragonflight and setting the stage for The War Within. One of these epilogues involved the Night Elves, who recently began building the village of Bel’ameth beneath Amirdrassil. During the cinematic, World of Warcraft had its first on-screen kiss between Malfurion and Tyrande after the two were reunited.

Now that the patch has been out for a few weeks, World of Warcraft shared an adorable image on its official Twitter that acts as an epilogue to the epilogue. Shortly after Tyrande named Shandris as the new leader of the Night Elves of World of Warcraft so they could take a much-deserved break, Malfurion mentioned that he hopes there is room in their new home for a garden. The picture shows Malfurion with a gardening hat, shovel, and watering can, next to Tyrande and Shandris. The caption simply states there was room for a garden, just like the Archdruid hoped.

Malfurion and Tyrande’s Well-Deserved Vacation in WoW

Tyrande and Malfurion have had a rough time the last few expansions. After the Burning of Teldrassil during Battle for Azeroth, the two went through several ordeals, with Tyrande nearly being consumed by the Night Warrior’s power, and Malfurion surviving an assassination attempt only to swap places with Ysera to allow the former Aspect to help her kin during Dragonflight. Bel'ameth represents the first break WoW's Night Elves have gotten in a while, and fans are glad the Kaldorei power couple is finally able to relax and smile for the first time in years.

Though the retired Night Elf leaders are kicking back for some rest and relaxation, the rest of Azeroth continues to move forward. World of Warcraft recently pulled back the curtain on Patch 10.2.6, which is being kept a surprise until its release. Like WoW Classic Season of Discovery, the mysterious “pirate patch” will not be tested on the Public Test Realm, meaning players will have to wait until March to learn what it is about. With Patch 10.2.7 and the War Within pre-patch scheduled in the months that follow, World of Warcraft fans might have trouble finding time to start gardens of their own.
