World of Warcraft just added a new Dragonriding saddle players can purchase for 50,000 Gold for the Day of the Dead holiday event. Players who want this Dragonriding drake customization in World of Warcraft have to act fast, as they can only get it for a few days.

The Day of the Dead is a micro-holiday event that takes place for a few days after the much larger Hallow’s End celebration in World of Warcraft. Inspired by the real-life Mexican holiday that shares its name, the Day of the Dead celebration includes opportunities to earn achievements, costumes, and a battle pet.

World of Warcraft Fan Makes Incredibly Nostalgic Discovery from 2005

A long-time World of Warcraft fan makes an incredibly nostalgic discovery from when they originally signed up for the game in 2005.

However, this year, World of Warcraft added a new reward to the Day of the Dead lineup. The Day of the Dead armor is a Dragonriding customization option for the Cliffside Wylderdrake. This saddle includes several candles, marigold flowers, and decorative sugar skulls on it, and is a must-have for every collector. Players can purchase this Dragonriding customization for 50,000 gold from Chapman, the Day of the Dead event vendor in every capital city graveyard in World of Warcraft, but only through November 3.

How long is the Day of the Dead armor available?

  • The Day of the Dead armor is available until November 3.

This is the fifth holiday-themed Dragonriding barding World of Warcraft has added in recent history. A similar customization was available for purchase on Pirate’s Day in World of Warcraft in September, and others were made available for Noblegarden, Brewfest, and Hallow’s End as well. That said, the ones for Brewfest and Hallow’s End were rare drops from the event’s instance bosses, so they were much harder to get than the Day of the Dead barding. Players have already discovered what appears to be a Winter Veil-themed barding set, so they can expect to see it near Christmas.

While players are picking up this new Dragonriding customization, they can also purchase five different Contender's Costume toys for 100 Gold each. When used, these items transform players into luchador fighters who can duel others who use the matching toys. Winning one of these fights earns progress towards obtaining the Trading Post rewards for November in World of Warcraft, plus the first of three achievements they can earn using the costumes.

Players can also accept a quest called The Grateful Dead. Players must offer an Orange Marigold at the graveyard to pick up the quest, after which they must bring the Bread of the Dead, a simple recipe crafted using Cooking, back to the NPC. Doing this earns the Macabre Marionette battle pet, as well as even more progress towards earning their Trader’s Tender allowance for November.
