Players in World of Warcraft Classic Season of Discovery Phase 2 are getting a 50% boost to experience gains below level 25, as well as increases when clearing Blackfathom Deeps or turning in Waylaid Supplies. These buffs will make leveling in World of Warcraft Classic Season of Discovery even easier, especially for those catching up for Phase 2 when it releases on February 8.
Season of Discovery is World of Warcraft’s newest spin on the Classic formula which introduces several twists to the game. Many of these changes make the leveling much faster, including baseline increases to experience from quests, plus Runes that give every class a significant increase in power.
However, leveling up in Phase 2 of Season of Discovery is about to get even easier. In a recent blog post World of Warcraft shared about the upcoming update, Blizzard revealed that all characters will get a permanent 50% experience boost when below level 25. Additionally, clearing the level 25 Blackfathom Deeps raid or turning in Waylaid Supplies will give drastically more experience.
Experience Boosts in WoW Classic SoD Phase 2
- Characters below level 25 will get a permanent 50% experience boost.
- The Blackfathom Deeps raid from WoW Classic SoD Phase 1 gives more experience when clearing, and the world buff can be used through level 39.
- Waylaid Supplies give significantly more experience when turning them in.
This permanent boost to experience gains is a huge change for World of Warcraft Classic Season of Discovery. Using it, fans should have no trouble catching up to the original WoW Classic Season of Discovery level cap, or quickly level up alt characters so they can dive into Phase 2. It also sets an exciting precedent for Season of Discovery in that players could possibly see the experience boost carried all the way to level 40 once Phase 3 brings the level cap up to 50 in a few months.
Phase 2 of Season of Discovery has tons of other things for players to look forward to as well. Fans will find multiple new Runes for each class, including ones to inscribe on their Boots and Belt, giving their characters even more rotation-altering tricks to rely on. Gnomeregan is being turned into a new 10-man raid at level 40, and Stranglethorn Vale is getting the Blood Moon PvP event that will transform the entire zone into a deadly battlefield. All of these changes and more go live when WoW Classic Season of Discovery launches Phase 2 on February 8.
