Brewfest has returned to World of Warcraft once again, this time featuring the new Homebrewer’s Sampling Mantle cosmetic available in exchange for 200 Brewfest Prize Tokens. Players can enjoy the Brewfest festivities in World of Warcraft from now until October 6.
Among the in-game holidays in World of Warcraft, Brewfest is one of the most rowdy and complicated events. With minigames at Brewfest camps and in the Dragon Isles, daily and yearly quests, and the Coren Direbrew instanced battle, there is no shortage of activities to enjoy during the celebration, most of which award Brewfest Prize Tokens, the currency for the World of Warcraft event.
World of Warcraft Bringing Back Old Anniversary Rewards for the First Time in 15 Years
World of Warcraft players who missed out on free anniversary awards in the past are in luck, as many of them will be obtainable for a limited time.
This year, World of Warcraft has added a few new things to Brewfest. While the majority of Brewfest in World of Warcraft is the same as it has been, players can find the Homebrewer’s Sampling Mantle at the event vendors outside Orgrimmar and Ironforge. This cosmetic back item is similar to the Orange Brewfest Bulwark available from the same vendor, and can be bought for 200 Brewfest Prize Tokens. If fans aren't able to pick this new item up before the event ends on October 6, they will have to wait until next year to get it.
What’s New With Brewfest 2024 in World of Warcraft?
- The Homebrewer’s Sampling Mantle, a new cosmetic back item, is available for 200 Brewfest Prize Tokens.
- Bar Tab Barrels have been added to the inns of Khaz Algar, each of which grants 10 Brewfest Prize Tokens.
- Coren Direbrew drops item level 571 gear for level 80 characters, scaling down with their level.
Fans can also challenge Coren Direbrew once a day to obtain a Keg-Shaped Treasure Chest, each of which has a chance to drop item level 571 gear and Brewfest mounts, including the Renewed Proto-Drake: Brewfest Armor Drakewatcher Manuscript WoW added last year. Additionally, Bar Tab Barrels can be found at inns across the new zones from The War Within that award 10 Brewfest Prize Tokens each when players interact with them. There is not currently an achievement for finding them as there is with their Dragon Isles counterparts, but that could change in the future.
There are tons of other achievements fans can earn during Brewfest, many of which are requirements for the Brewmaster meta achievement, one of the prerequisites for the coveted What a Long, Strange Trip It’s Been holiday event meta achievement. Were that not enough, players can get a 10% experience buff for two hours at 6:15 AM and PM at the Brewfest camps every day. While not as big as the experience boost coming for World of Warcraft’s 20-year anniversary in October, fans looking to level up their alts should be sure not to miss out on the Brewfest buff in the meantime.
