Wordle is a daily word puzzle game from the New York Times that's been really popular over the last few months. The five-letter word guessing game may be easy to access, but not everyone out there has played it yet, so let's go over the basic rules.
How To Play Wordle
Players can start guessing the daily five-letter word by accessing the browser game via the New York Times games site. Since the game can be played by going to a simple website, people can use their phones, laptops, tablets, or any other device that can go online.
Upon reaching the site, players will have six tries to figure out what the word is. Input a starting Wordle word that has a variety of vowels and consonants, and the color of the tiles will show how close players are to the solution.
- If a tile turns green, then the letter is in the word and it's in the correct spot.
- If it changes to yellow, then the letter is in the word, but it's not in the right spot.
- And if it greys out, then the chosen letter is not in the word at all.
- Once players finish, they can share their results on social media to show their friends how well they did. And sharing the results will not reveal the Wordle answer, so don't worry about spoiling social media friends.
