Wordle is a browser-based game for anyone who likes word games. It can be accessed from just about any device with an internet connection, currently for free, and it features a spoiler-free share button; these things are probably what has made this game so popular on social media. Although Wordle's popularity has dropped since the New York Times acquisition, it is still something that many play every day. But for those who haven't, here are the rules.
Head to the NYTs Wordle website and choose a starting Wordle word. It needs to be five letters and a real English word. Once a word is chosen, just type it into the site and press enter. The letters will change color based on if they are correct or not.
- Green letters are correct.
- Yellow letters are right but in the wrong location.
- Gray letters are not in the word.
