Players just have to head to the new web address and start playing; the puzzles are currently free-to-play and refresh daily at midnight local time.

  • Players need to choose a starting, five-letter word. This word must be a real English word, and not one of the several Wordle words that were censored by the New York Times.
  • After inputting the word, the letters will change color depending on whether they appear in the answer.
  • Green letters are in the correct spot, yellow letters are correct but in the wrong spot, and gray letters are incorrect.
  • Using these clues, players have six total guesses to get the word right. While there are some best strategies to winning Wordle every day, players can use whatever methods work for them to figure out the word of the day.
  • The puzzle changes at midnight local time.
