Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty is not huge on inventory management. Gamers do not have to be constantly adjusting their gear during a run. After getting the appropriate gear, many gamers might play through several levels before scanning for potential upgrades.
However, there is a maximum item limit in Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty. Players who hit it for the first time might appropriately be frustrated. In the middle of a mission, they may have to put down their gear to make room for new items. Doing so isn't straightforward, but once players understand how, it only takes a few seconds.
How To Drop An Item
- Hit the Start/Pause button.
- Select the 'Inventory' menu.
- Find an undesired item and select it.
- Choose the 'Drop' option.
This is the option players will want to use when standing in front of a Shitieshou (Panda Demon) to feed it. The Shitieshou gives out better rewards in exchange for higher-level items, so try to choose something that is valuable but not to the build the character is using.
The best early-game build should allow players to get through the first two or three missions without needing to worry about inventory management. It's smart to pick up everything found because they can all be sold for copper or dismantled for parts. Consider selling items down between every two missions for these rewards.
Note that the 'Discard' option will destroy the item but the 'Drop' option will leave it on the ground. If players get to a save location, they can still return to where they dropped their items and then pick them up again to sell them off. This does not persist after leaving the level, though, so be careful not to quit when a valuable item has been put on the ground.
