As players begin their journey through Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty, they will quickly learn the importance of the Dragon's Cure Pot. Drinking from this unique item will partially replenish the protagonist's health, working similarly to Elden Ring's Flask of Crimson Tears. At the start of Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty, the Dragon's Cure Pot will contain three charges, which are automatically refilled when resting at a Battle Flag. This item is essentially Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty's version of the standard 'soulslike' health-replenishing tool.
Players familiar with the 'soulslike' genre will likely wonder if there is a way to increase the charge limit of the Dragon's Cure Pot. Luckily, Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty stays faithful to past entries in the genre, often rewarding players who thoroughly clear and explore each stage with the very item required to raise the pot's charge limit.
How to Raise the Dargon's Cure Pot Charge Limit in Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty
Players looking to increase the charge limit of the Dragon's Cure Pot will find the process of doing so incredibly simple. The player must have an incredibly rare item known as the Dragon Vein Crystal. Using this item is the only way to increase the charge level of the pot.
Unlike many of the upgrades in Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty, players do not need to go to any special location to enhance the Dragon's Cure Pot. To use the Dragon Vein Crystal , players must simply find it under the inventory section of the main menu. Look for the unique green glow while scanning through items, it is very hard to miss. Once located, the player need only interact with it to release its power. It does not require the player to be in any specific area or in any specific situation, though the newly increased charge limit will not register until the next time the player rests at a Battle Flag.
Where to Find Dragon Vein Crystals in Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty
Dragon Vein Crystals are an incredibly scarce resource. Players hoping to get their hands on one of these beautiful green crystals will get their first chance during the first quest of Part 2, "Two Chivalrous Heroes."
After facing the demon ape Zhuyan, the player will make their way past Zhu Xia the blacksmith, and head into the region of the county office. The first Dragon Vein Crystal will be found in that first building, behind a spear-wielding enemy. Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty will let the player know the first time they have picked up an item that can enhance the Dragon's Cure Pot, so keep an eye out for the tutorial box.
Finding the first crystal in this location serves as a good example of where the remaining crystals will be acquired. While there are some that are in more remote areas of the stages, many can be found on what can be considered a stage's 'main path.'
Aside from Dragon Vein Crystals, players can increase the healing properties of the Dragon's Cure Pot with the power of Dragon Vein Essence. These upgrades increase the amount each charge is capable of healing the player. The first essence is found in the second quest of Part 2, "The Valley of Crying Wraiths," but can also be found in the sub-battlefields that become available after completing each stage. Check the Travel section to see which sub-battlefields are available.
Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty is available now on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. A free demo will be available on all platforms until 03/26/23.
