One NexusMods user has created a mod to add the older Ciri from The Witcher 4 into The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. Following the hype around the recently released cinematic trailer for the new entry in the popular RPG, a modder decided to create an inspired version of the grown-up Ciri from the trailer and bring her into The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.

Crafted by NexusMods user known as Forlornsito, the mod is called "The Witcher 4 Concept Ciri - Toxic Mutant." This creative endeavor reimagines Ciri's appearance based on the updated design from The Witcher 4 trailer. The mod adds a brand-new armor set, a more detailed hairstyle, and new textures for her face and eyes that show the effects of mutations from being a seasoned witcher. In the images provided by the modder, Ciri’s striking blue eyes from the trailer can be seen, which have been upscaled and added to the game.

Modder Brings The Witcher 4's Older Ciri to The Witcher 3

To stay true to the world of The Witcher 3, the mod uses assets from the game, ensuring it feels both lore-friendly and visually consistent. Players can also tweak Ciri’s look by selecting different files for her hairstyle or mutated features, giving them more freedom to customize her appearance and mix it with other mods.

Forlornsito further shared some details about the hard work that went into it. He had to sculpt new meshes, remove level-of-detail restrictions, and fix compatibility issues, among other challenges. Although the mod does a great job capturing the look from The Witcher 4 trailer, the modder warns players that there are still small glitches, like some textures overlapping on Ciri’s hooded design.
