The Witcher 3 is arguably one of the best fantasy RPGs released in the last 15 years. This title features a vast world full of dangerous creatures, a broad range of different silver and steel swords for players to take advantage of, and a compelling narrative that is both captivating and immersive.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - How To Get The Blade From The Bits
The Witcher 3 has a ton of swords for players to take advantage of, but not all are easy to acquire. Here's how to get the Blade from the Bits.
As you progress through the story of The Witcher 3, you’ll come across many quests where you’ll have to make a tough choice. A great example of this is the Nithing quest, where you must choose to spare or kill an evildoer in the midst of a moral conundrum. This is only one of many instances where you’ll find yourself in this position, and sometimes, the choice will involve a loved one. Here’s the best choice for Count Reuven’s Treasure quest in The Witcher 3.
Should You Let Triss Be Tortured In The Witcher 3?
During Count Reuven’s Treasure quest in The Witcher 3, you'll have the chance to choose between allowing Triss to be tortured to cover up your ruse or engaging in a huge fight with tons of Witch Hunters. Prior to this, you'll have a conversation with Triss, and she will tell you that it's easier if you walk in with her in handcuffs to avoid blowing your cover. You’ll also have a few opportunities to flirt with her in this interaction, so make sure to choose your words wisely if you want to romance her.
At one point, you'll have to decide whether you let Count Reuven’s men take her to another room to be tortured. Agreeing to her torture doesn’t mean you’re home-free, as you'll then have a conversation with Count Reuven, and giving the wrong answers may still end up blowing your cover, making Triss’ torture happen in vain.
The Witcher 3: Which Difficulty Setting Should You Choose?
Here's how to choose the right Witcher 3 difficulty setting based on different factors like enemy health and damage.
If you decide that you don't want Triss to be tortured at all, you can blow your cover, which is the harder yet morally correct choice, especially if you want to romance her.
This will not affect your chances at romancing her later; she’ll be a lot angrier at you if you risk the mission for her sake.
This, just like the horse selection situation in the Broken Flowers quest, is just one of many scenarios that confuse players throughout the story of The Witcher 3.
Count Reuven's Treasure Quest Rewards In The Witcher 3
- 650 XP
- 90 Crowns
Your reward for completing this mission will vary greatly depending on whether you successfully carried out the conversation with Count Reuven and got the information you needed without raising suspicion. If you were successful, you’ll get a few more hundred XP, and you’ll also get to avoid a lot of fighting, which can be desirable if you feel like you’re not ready to take on a small army of Witch Hunters.
All in all, if you manage to be the ultimate cloak and dagger spy, you’ll get 650 XP and 90 Crowns for completing this mission.
