The story of Wistoria: Wand and Sword takes place in the vast and vibrant Regarden Magical Academy. Unlike other magic academies out there, this prestigious academy not only focuses on learning about magic, but also emphasizes practical training by letting students regularly dive into their dungeon. Thanks to this, there are a lot of strong mages within the academy.
That being said, the students are far from the strongest people in the series. In fact, there are quite a few individuals with greater strength than everybody in the academy. 10 Will Serfort
The Strongest Student in the Academy

The only student who makes the list is the protagonist of Wistoria: Wand and Sword, Will Serfort. There’s an argument to be made that any of the top three students in the academy (Wignall, Lihanna, and Julius) deserve to be on this list more than Will. However, when Will single-handedly defeats Julius with some stamina to spare, he solidifies his position as the strongest student in Regarden Academy.
Not only that, but Will manages to defeat Julius without having to train or learn any special moves. Once he finds a proper teacher and unlocks his inner strength, he will be even more powerful.
9 Edward Serfence
The Strongest Teacher in the Academy

Edward Serfence teaches the History and Origin of Magic at Regarden Academy, and is an expert in Dark Magic. He has a rather conservative view when it comes to what it means to be a mage and magic in general, which is why he was so opposed to Will’s enrollment in the academy.
Conservative views aside, Edward Serfence is undoubtedly the strongest teacher in the Regarden Magical Academy, second only to the headmaster, Caldron Anouve. In fact, it is often said that Edward Serfence is the closest person in the academy to achieving the coveted title of Magia Vander.
8 Caldron Anouve
The Headmaster of the Academy

Caldron Anouve is the headmaster of the Regarden Magical Academy, and the only person there (other than Workner Norgram) who sees Will’s true potential. That being said, she is also a fair leader, which is why she agreed to Edward’s decision to test Will’s combat power.

7 Headless
A Maniacal Threat To The Students

Headless is one of the evil mages who appears during the All-Student Praxis. To be fair, Headless and Marze never intended to attack the students, but it just so happens that the item that they are looking for in the dungeon happens to be on the same floor as the students.
As his moniker suggests, Headless doesn’t have a head. It’s unclear what sort of dark magic can keep him alive despite this missing part of his anatomy, but one thing is for sure: he is strong enough to single-handedly kill the teachers who guard the students during the All-Student Praxis.
6 Marze
A Ruthless Mage Killer

Marze is the second half of the evil duo who terrorize the Regarden Magical Academy, alongside Headless. Unlike the eccentric, free-spirited Headless, Marze looks relatively normal, and is an impatient and quick-tempered man who won’t hesitate to kill anybody who happens to stand in his way.
Like Headless, Marze can also kill the teachers of Regarder Magical Academy in one attack. But even more than that, they both possess a spell that allows them to control high-level monsters such as the Evil Grand Duke, who usually only appears on level 25th of the dungeon. In terms of strength, Marze is on par with Headless, so their position in this list is interghangeable.

Magia Vander is a title given to individuals who have attained the pinnacle of magic. Currently, five people hold this distinguished title, and Ellenor Ljos Alf is one of them. However, Ellener is the only elf among those five.

In a lot of ways, Zeo is the perfect opposite of Elfaria. Unlike Elfaria, who finds joy in tinkering with her ice magic and finding new and exciting ways to use it, Zeo is the type of person who goes with his guts. He would rather dive headfirst into danger than waste his time planning and strategizing.
The same holds true for how they wield their magic. Elfaria likes to weave complex layers of magic spells to create a devastating barrage of attacks. Zeo, on the other hand, rarely uses any spells. More often than not, all he does is cloak himself with thunder and go on a rampage. Zeo is one of the rare mages who specializes in close-quarters combat.

Although the four previous Magia Vander are ranked in different positions in this list, their power is fairly equal. The only exception to this situation is Aaron Masteria Oldking, the Magia Vander who commands the light. Aaron is the oldest and wisest of them, and is the leader of Magia Vander and the King of the realm.
Light magic is the rarest magical element of all. Only a handful of people have ever been blessed with this element in history, and Aaron is by far the strongest light magic user known in this world. The other Magia Vander respect Aaron not only due to his massive power, but more so because of his wisdom. He can stop disputes between two Magia Vander with his words alone, which goes to show how much the others respect him.
Aaron doesn’t have much chance to showcase his true power in the first season of Wistoria: Wand and Sword. Audiences only see a fraction of his power when he single-handedly annihilates hordes of high-level monsters with a single spell. Hopefully, he gets more chance to shine in the second season.
