Coyote vs. Acme was a movie that most people thought was going to be lost to time after Warner Bros. Scrapped it. However, after overwhelming support for the Looney Tunes film, Ketchup Entertainment surprisingly saved it, which will give audiences the opportunity to see exactly what has been put together.

The film is set to star Will Forte and John Cena opposite Wile E. Coyote, who will be animated. Coyote vs. Acme has certainly gone through a lot to reach this point, but the prospect of it being released is real, and the hard work that was put in to get it to this point is set to be rewarded, with the cast themselves grateful for that.

'I Would Tell You' Producer Has Bad News For Fans Of A Planned Video Game Adaptation Starring John Cena

Fans of comediaclly cocky 90s video game protagonists won't be feeling the action this week, as a highly anticipated project seems stuck on zero.

Forte is going to be one of the lead stars in this film, and he has previously gone on record to discuss how angry he was at the movie seemingly being axed. He claimed it was "delightful" and did a great job at continuing to promote it, and that's something he's still willing to do now that it's finally going to be released. He revealed to The Hollywood Reporter just how far he's prepared to push himself in a bid to make this movie a hit when it's out in cinemas.

Forte said, "I never thought it would happen, so it just came out of nowhere, and I'm so thrilled. Thank you, Ketchup Entertainment; I'm so excited for people to see this movie. I'm gonna promote the crap out of it, just tell me what you want me to do, and I'll go, I'll do whatever — go to the top of Mount Everest, I'm there."

It was back in 2023 when it was revealed that Warner Bros. Intended to scrap this film due to a $115 million writedown, much to the disappointment of audiences who were actively excited about it. The power of social media has been evident in bringing this project back, though, as fans pushed repeatedly for it to be released. It showcases just how popular the Looney Tunes franchise is, with this being a lot of people's childhoods, while they were also just excited for the movie and didn't want to see those who were involved treated so poorly. The social media campaign led to Ketchup acquiring the rights, and now audiences are simply patiently waiting to find out more details about when it will be available to watch.

This live-action cartoon film was met with positive feedback from test audiences around the time it was originally preparing to be released, which is one of the reasons why people campaigned so hard for it. Several behind-the-scenes videos have leaked about this movie, with members of the production crew revealing information due to it seemingly being axed forever. Those leaks only served to help the interest build, as people were given a clear look at the hard work that had gone into making it, which is what left fans so frustrated.

Coyote vs. Acme was directed by Dave Green and produced by Chris deFaria and James Gunn – who has worked with Cena multiple times at this point. The team involved in the project is stellar, and that's one of the reasons there's so much excitement surrounding it: audiences have high expectations. While it is going to be released, and Forte is prepared to climb Everest to promote it, there is currently no release date for Coyote vs. Acme.
