Winterburg is a small location in Fortnite that players can visit while playing Battle Royale to complete several Christmas quests. Here, you will find beautiful holiday houses, lots of loot, and even an allegory of Santa, whose character is called Sgt Winter.

In this guide, you will learn where to find Winterburg in Fortnite. Many players have difficulty finding this location because it is not marked on the map, so this guide is here to help.

Fortnite: How to Reach Winterburg

Fortnite: Winterburg location on the map

Winterburg is located at the top of the map, almost in the middle. It looks like a small island that is washed by the ocean.

As mentioned above, Winterburg doesn't have a text caption on the map, like some other locations. This location is quite small, and it only refers to the Winterfest event, which makes it not as important as the main places on the map. It is not difficult to get there, but given that it is a location where you need to complete several quests with a time limit, other players will also go there. If you are trying to get there solely to complete the quest that requires you to visit Winterburg and get into the top 20 players, use the following recommendations:

  • Start the match.
  • When you get to the lobby, before the game starts, look at the route the bus will take to determine the best place to jump.
  • When you jump off the bus, try to fly over ponds or rivers. These are usually the lowest elevation, allowing you to reach the ground before anyone else.
  • When you land, look for places where you can quickly find at least some weapons.
  • If you manage to get a weapon, you can try to kill other players, but this is too risky. Instead, after landing and picking up a weapon, run away from there, firing back at enemies if you are under attack.
  • Then, hide somewhere on the map to wait until 20 people are left.

If you are not going there for this mission, but for some other task, or just want to fully explore this location, then it is better to use this method to resist the enemies:

  • Take the bus and choose Lavish Lair as your landing point. This is a large mansion with a lot of loot.
  • Here, you can find the boss, Oscar. After killing him, you will get a medallion and a legendary weapon. Find some weapons and then move to the boss, whose location is marked with a golden icon on the map. Shoot several clips into his head to kill him.
  • After picking up the medallion, you will receive permanent passive shield regeneration. In addition, with the medallion, you can open the vault located under the mansion.
  • Visit the vault and stock up on weapons.
  • Now, you have a full arsenal of weapons and a medallion with which you can go to Winterburg. It is located not far away, just go north of Lavish Lair.
  • Once you arrive, you'll have no trouble confronting any enemy.

Here is how the Combat Cache drop works in Fortnite.

While you are doing this, some players will run away from the location, and those who remain will be confused if they meet you. While at the location, you will be able to complete the tasks, as well as meet the local friendly NPC Sgt Winter. As mentioned above, he plays the role of a local Santa, and by interacting with him, you can receive a gift.
