Dark and Darker is a first-person PVP dungeon crawler that gained a lot of fans when its demo launched earlier in 2023. It is a loot and extraction-based multiplayer game developed by the South Korean studio Ironmace. Dark and Darker is set in a Dungeons & Dragons-like setting where players can select from seven classes.
The game shares some similarities to games like Hood: Outlaws and Legends. Unfortunately, the developers Ironmace ran into some legal issues with alleged copyright infringement, and the demo for Dark and Darker was removed from the Steam platform. Thankfully, for fans eager to play the game again, Ironmace has made it available in Early Access. Unfortunately, it's - not yet - available on Steam, Epic, or other popular PC platforms.

However, it is available through Ironmace's official website and the South Korean website Chaf Games. Both sites offer the Standard Edition for $35 and The Founder's Edition: Hold the Line for $50. The Founders Edition includes an emote, the skeleton race, the blue torch item skin, and Dark and Darker test access. The Standard Edition includes the Bluestone Shard +5.

Dark and Darker is available on PC, but players must download the relevant launchers from Chafgames or Ironmace's official site.

Chafgames is a subscription-based service. However, Dark and Darker is the app's only purchasable game. To buy it, players must download the app from Chafgames.com, create an account and sign in with their details, and purchase it through the app.

Purchasing and downloading Dark and Darker from the official website is preferred. However, it does require a few more steps than using the Chafgames method. To download and play Dark and Darker with Ironmace's official site, use the following steps:
- Create an account with Xsolla. Wait for the confirmation email and verify the details.
- Head into the Dark and Darker website and create an account.
- Add the game to the cart.
- Download and install the Blacksmith launcher.
- Purchase and download Dark and Darker through Blacksmith.
