There are tons of items to find while playing through Baldur's Gate 3's campaign, and there's one particular set of items in Act 2 that many players are bound to miss: the Flawed Helldusk Armour set. As its name suggests, this set is of infernal origin, and as such, you need materials straight from Avernus in order to get its pieces.

Getting the Flawed Helldusk Armour set is simple, but it's also easy to miss, especially if you're doing Karlach's questline. If you don't want to miss out on any of this set's pieces, here's a quick guide showing you how to get them, as well as short overviews on each piece to help you figure out which ones are worth getting.

With the release of Patch 8, there are plenty of new options for running a support build in Baldur's Gate 3, strengthening allies and disrupting foes.

Flawed Helldusk Armour Location in BG3

BG3 Flawed Helldusk Armour acquired

You can get pieces of the Flawed Helldusk Armour by speaking with Dammon, the blacksmith of Zevlor's Tiefling refugee group, once you reach Last Light Inn in Act 2. He doesn't sell these armor pieces, though — instead, you need to show him pieces of Infernal Iron.

If you have a piece of Infernal Iron with you, there will be some dialogue options where you can ask Dammon to make something out of the Infernal Iron pieces. If you give him the materials, he'll give you the following items in order:

  1. Flawed Helldusk Armour
  2. Flawed Helldusk Gloves
  3. Flawed Helldusk Helmet

If you lack the materials, we have a guide on where to get Infernal Iron in Act 1 and 2.

Are The Flawed Helldusk Armour Pieces Good?

BG3 Flawed Helldusk Armour chestpiece description

Absolutely. These are rare Heavy Armour pieces that each have unique effects:

  • If you are hit by a nearby enemy, the Armour retaliates with 1d4 Fire damage.
  • The Gloves add 1d4 Fire damage to your attacks, with an additional 1d4 Necrotic to Unarmed Attacks and a chance to inflict Bleeding.
  • The Helmet grants +1 to Constitution Saving Throws and +2 to Saving Throws against Spells.

Out of all these pieces, the Gloves are arguably the best. They're great for non-spellcasters, and they're especially strong for Monk characters. However, keep in mind that the +1d4 Fire damage bonus does not stack with similar bonuses, such as the one from the Everburn Blade.

Infernal Iron has no other use apart from helping Karlach and crafting Flawed Helldusk Armour pieces (apart from selling them, of course). It's better to use your Infernal Iron to craft these pieces instead of saving them for later.
