Bows and crossbows allow players to lock onto enemies to accurately fire arrows and bolts at their enemies without always needing to line up a perfect shot in Elden Ring: Shadow Of The Erdtree. Players who want to target farther away enemies do have the ability to go into a first-person view to line up shots with a reticle.
Normally this only adds the ability to hit further away enemies by lining up a shot, but Shadow Of The Erdtree adds a new Talisman that gives players an additional boost when aiming down the sights. Bows and Crossbows already receive a bonus in damage when landing headshots, and Shadow Of The Erdtree gives players the ability to further build off of lining up the perfect shots.
Where To Get The Sharpshot Taliman In Shadow Of The Erdtree
To get the
Sharpshot Talisman, players will first need to reach the back gate of the Shadow Keep. After reaching this point and defeating Commander Gaius, head out the gate along the northwestern wall around the arena. Continue heading northwest to find the Albinauric's Shack with a wolf rider enemies running around the building.
This enemy will fire volleys of arrows quickly, and despite the melee attacks from the wolf, is a bigger threat for those trying to fight it from afar. The
Sharpshot Talisman is found on the dead body in the center of the Shack. Players don't need to defeat the enemy to get the Talisman but will obtain the more rare armor piece for Gaius's Armor set by doing so.
How Does Eternal Sleep Work In Elden Ring: Shadow Of The Erdtree
Eternal Sleep is a new effect added in Elden Ring: Shadow Of The Erdtree; here's exactly what it does.
How Good Is The Sharpshot Taliman
The
Sharpshot Talisman boosts the damage to precision-aimed shots, meaning those where the player zooms in and uses the reticle. Overall this Talisman is a good option for bow or crossbow users while exploring the massive open worlds of Elden Ring and Shadow Of The Erdtree. Precision shots are great for either weakening enemies outside their agro range, or taking them out completely from a safe distance.
Even if bows are the centerpiece of your build, this Talisman is not recommended for any boss fights and should be switched off when necessary to something more useful in tighter battles. While this Talisman does depict an archer with a bow, it does offer the same bonus to precision shots with a crossbow. Bows and crossbows are already incredibly versatile when players use different elemental arrows to hit an enemy's weakness, and this Talisman can help further push an already high-damage snipe, making bow-centered builds even better in the DLC.
