The Seventh Trial of Aql will take players deep underground in Dune: Awakening, and while the last trial offered nothing but a ruined shrine and disappointment, this one contains a traditional Spice Dream segment for players to experience.
Much like the previous Trials of Aql, the Spice segment in the seventh trial isn't much of a challenge, though players are sure to have problems actually finding the trial in the first place. Dune: Awakening - Seventh Trial of Aql Location
The Seventh Trial of Aql is located at the bottom of the Hagga Rift, which is the gigantic chasm spanning several kilometers along central/northern part of the map. Pinning the trial's location on the map is a little tricky since the Rift has multiple levels — just know that it's at the very bottom.
Jump or drive down the bottom of the Hagga Rift and go to the general area pinned on the maps above. What you're looking for is a cave called the Red Maw, and as its name suggests, it's a cave that's glowing red. Enter the cave and explore it to find some hostile NPCs and some chests full of loot. Then, go back to the entrance and look to your left to find a ledge that leads to the altar.
There are multiple ways to avoid fall damage, so consider launching yourself down the chasm to get there faster.
The Spice Dream Segment
The dream segment here is pretty straightforward — sandstorms will roll through the area as you're traversing, and if you don't take cover, you'll get sent back to the closest checkpoint. To avoid getting set back, enter the Stilltents placed along the path. Continue this process of moving forward and hiding in Stilltents until the dream is complete.
Rewards
Once you wake from the dream, you'll unlock the crafting schematic for the Stilltent, a portable shelter that you can place in most areas of the map. These can be crafted using the following materials:
- 100 Water
- 7 Steel Ingot
- 18 Micro-sandwich Fiber
- 14 Silicone Block
Apart from sheltering you from the heat and sandstorms, Stilltents can also rehydrate with the water that it captures and preserves. It's not exactly a terrific way to get water in Dune: Awakening, but it's definitely useful for when you find yourself thirsty with no other source of hydration in sight. Just keep in mind that these tents aren't meant to replace bases or outposts.
