What Makes the Grafted Blade Greatsword so Good in Elden Ring Nightreign?

The Grafted Blade Greatsword is one of several legendary weapons from Elden Ring that have returned in Nightreign. Like many of these returning weapons, players will notice that the Grafted Blade Greatsword has received a unique passive effect that makes it even stronger than before. Even compared to the other legendary weapons, though, the Grafted Blade Greatsword is incredibly powerful.

Starting with the basics, the Grafted Blade Greatsword is, as its name suggests, a Greatsword. It scales best with Strength, and also scales with Dexterity, making it a great weapon for the Wylder, Raider, and Guardian. However, even the other classes can get a ton out of this weapon by taking advantage of its Weapon Skill and its Unique Weapon Effect. The Weapon Skill "Oath of Vengeance" will provide a temporary buff to all stats and also to poise, which can benefit anyone. The Unique Weapon Effect, however, is what makes this weapon one of the best in the game. "Power of Vengeance" will provide a permanent increase to all attributes after killing any enemy, and this can stack.

This means that, if you get the Grafted Blade Greatsword during a run, you can take out hordes of weak enemies to quickly and massively increase your stats. Since both the Weapon Skill and the Unique Weapon Effect raise all attributes, they can be a huge boon to any of the game's characters, even if they don't have a particularly good strength or dexterity stat. Simply having the weapon will provide the "Power of Vengeance" effect, so simply put it in your left hand and two-hand your main weapon to take full advantage without ever having to swing it. Swap hands to two-hand it when you want to activate "Oath of Vengeance" for even more power in a tough fight.

This uniquely potent set of effects makes the Grafted Blade Greatsword arguably the most universally powerful legendary weapon in the entire game, so if you ever have the good fortune to see it during a game, make sure to grab it and take full advantage of its power.
