Cronos: The New Dawn follows the Traveller as they try to find their Predecessor and extract the specific targets given to them. The game's highly immersive environment is designed to keep players on the edge of their seat throughout this tense journey. Thoroughly checking every corner for potential creatures is a critical task, and some optional rooms or hidden paths will also reward the player with a Valuable item. Here is what players can do with them in Cronos: The New Dawn.
Cronos: The New Dawn Review
Cronos: The New Dawn checks most of the survival-horror boxes, but is held back by clunky combat and an underwhelming narrative.
What To Do With Valuables in Cronos: The New Dawn?
After the section where you have your first enemy encounter, you must insert the fuse and then exit the main building. From here, your next objective is to locate the Predecessor. As you leave the building, you can explore the path on the right, where a Camera can be found inside a broken-down section. This item's description indicates it is a valuable electronic item that can be exchanged for Energy at a Workstation.
The item does take up inventory space, so be sure to free some if you are already carrying a large number of items.
Now, head back to the main path and proceed through the story until you find your next Saving station. It is here that you will encounter a Workstation for the first time. These Workstations allow you to upgrade your gear and weapons and to purchase resources as needed. There is also a tab to sell any items, including the Valuables you have in your inventory. It is advisable to always sell these to prevent them from consuming valuable inventory space throughout your journey.
If, for any reason, you do not want to sell the Valuable at that moment, you can place it in the storage box and retrieve it from any similar box you come across in the future.
More Ways to Earn Energy in Cronos: The New Dawn
Players running low on Energy for weapon upgrades should always explore the side areas. You will come across wooden crates that the Traveller can break using one of the two melee options, and these can have Energy inside most of the time. Powerful enemies and bosses also drop Energy to provide some help. The last method, which is not recommended unless absolutely necessary for the upgrade, is to sell resources and ammunition. These might not even sell for that much, so this is not recommended.
