The Eternal War mode in Space Marine 2 gives players the opportunity to use the game's vast arsenal against other players in 6v6 PvP matches. The selection of weapons available here are all effective by their own rights, though some do shine brighter in one or several other categories.
After unlocking Space Marine 2's PvP mode, players will be stuck with basic gear for each of the classes, so some of the following weapons may not be immediately available. Still, for those who want to dominate the PvP scene or those who are simply looking for something to grind for, here are all the best weapons for the Eternal War mode.

9 Chainsword
Reliable And Deadly In Melee

While melee combat isn't exactly the focus in the PvP mode, players will still be forced to engage in melee when push comes to shove. In instances like these, the
Chainsword does an excellent job at staving off attackers. It hits decently hard, and while it may be easy to block or dodge, it's very useful in a pinch, more so than the Combat Knife at times.
The Chainsword ties with the rest of the melee weapons on this spot. All of them are comparable in terms of practical use, but the Chainsword comes out on top since it's accessible to more classes.
8 Bolt Pistol
Light And Surprisingly Lethal

While it may seem weak, the
Bolt Pistol is much more reliable than some players might think. It doesn't have the range and stopping power of a full-sized Boltgun, but it can take enemies out just as well at close range thanks to its fast fire rate and decent magazine capacity.
This weapon ties with the Heavy Bolt Pistol, the larger variant used by Assault marines. This class may not be the best one in Space Marine 2, but with a Heavy Bolt Pistol, an Assault marine can take enemies out with precise shots while hovering over them.
7 Plasma Pistol
The Pocket Face Melter

The
Plasma Pistol is devastating in the hands of an accurate shooter, especially if its users can take advantage of its powerful charged shots. Bulwarks and Heavies can safely rely on this sidearm while they're roaming a map, especially against enemies who are preoccupied with other targets. Missing a charged shot can be very punishing, however, as not only does it consume more ammo, but it can also potentially overheat the weapon, rendering it useless for a short while.
The slow speed of the Plasma Pistol's projectiles hinders the weapon's performance at range, but since it's best used in close quarters anyway, this becomes a non-issue.
6 Plasma Incinerator
Slow But Powerful Battle Rifle

The bigger brother of the Plasma Pistol functions more or less the same way. However, this one hits much harder and has more ammo to work with. The
Plasma Incinerator is one of the best weapons for the Tactical marine in Operations mode, and the same goes for Eternal War.
This gun is best used as in close-mid range given its nature as a projectile-based gun. Only use it in longer ranges when the enemy is unaware.
5 Bolt Carbine
Short-Ranged Shredder

The
Bolt Carbine is a compact weapon that boasts a very high rate of fire, perfect for chewing up targets in close range without resorting to melee. It's the perfect gun for a flanking Tactical or Sniper player, though it's borderline useless against targets beyond close quarters.
This weapon ties closely with the Occulus Bolt Carbine of the Vanguard class. Both are designed to pelt nearby enemies with bullets, though the Bolt Carbine wins over its larger counterpart by a hair simply due to how much faster it shoots.
4 Instigator Bolt Carbine
Burst-Fire Headhunter

|
The
Instigator Bolt Carbine is the opposite of the Bolt Carbine. While it fires almost just as fast, it is limited to burst-fire mode, making it more ideal for medium-range gunfights. It's an excellent alternative for Vanguard players who prefer taking smart firing positions instead of rushing into the enemy's face.
This weapon is very good against the tankier enemy types in Space Marine 2's PvE modes, and it works just as well against players in PvP. It isn't as good in close range due to its long burst-fire delay, so make sure to keep a Bolt Pistol locked and loaded.
3 Heavy Bolter
Maximum Firepower

When it comes to locking down sightlines, the
Heavy Bolter is one of the best weapons to use. It might not have the strongest damage per bullet value, but it makes up for that with its fast fire rate and large ammo capacity. Players will get absolutely chewed up by a Heavy Bolter if they fail to take cover, and Heavy players can fend off melee attackers with this gun fairly well too.
On the other hand, the Heavy Bolter forces players to a crawl whenever they enter Heavy (ADS) stance, putting them in a precarious position. Also, since it has a relatively low solo kill potential, players must work together with teammates in order to secure those takedowns.
2 Multi-Melta
The King Of Close Quarters

The
Multi-Melta turns the Heavy class in Space Marine 2 into a close-ranged fighter armed with what is essentially a shotgun-style weapon. This gun can take any marine down in just a few shots, making it incredibly lethal in a close-ranged fight. Heavies can devastate the enemy team with the Multi-Melta if they can manage to sneak behind their lines.
This weapon ties with its smaller counterpart, the Melta Rifle. Both fill the same role, though the Melta Rifle for the Tactical class allows for better mobility at the cost of some lethality.
1 Bolt Rifle
Best All-Around Primary Weapon

While the
Bolt Rifle didn't quite make it as the absolute best Tactical weapon in Space Marine 2, it is significantly stronger in PvP due to how easy it is to hit headshots in this game mode. The Bolt Rifle's solid damage profile and accuracy makes it a deceptively powerful weapon if players can hit their shots.
The Heavy Bolt Rifle somewhat matches this weapon's lethality, though that one is much more forgiving to use due to its faster fire rate. It'll be a matter of personal preference whether players pick the Bolt Rifle over its heavy variant.
