Netflix's Wednesday season 2 is set to return in only a couple of months as Jenna Ortega (Wednesday Addams) and her spooky family return to Nevermore Academy for even more weird and mysterious shenanigans. Fans have already had a taste of what Wednesday season 2's episode titles will be, as well as Netflix recently dropping a whopping six-minute footage of Wednesday, which gave viewers a first look at Haley Joel Osment's antagonist in the second season. However, what's better than having an action figure of Wednesday herself while actually watching the show? Likely nothing but fans can pick one up before season 2's premiere to keep them company if things get a little bit too hairy.
Things are really starting to heat up as Jenna Ortega prepares to make herself known once again as the strange and awkward Wednesday Addams for another season of supernatural adventures and terrifying mysteries, where fresh foes and woes await. Starring Catherine Zeta-Jones as Morticia, Luis Guzmán as Gomez, and Isaac Ordonez as Pugsley, season 2 will lay out the red carpet for new cast members like Lady Gaga, who fans can't wait to see since her narrative has been shrouded in mystery so far.
Wednesday Season 2 Needs a Good Reason For Morticia and Gomez To Be At Nevermore
Wednesday Season 2 is on the way, but Morticia and Gomez's presence at Nevermore needs to make sense.
Wednesday Addams Gets Two New Eerie Action Figures From NECA
Since Ortega’s appearance on Wednesday season one in 2022, the young actor's career has shot through the roof, where she's gone on to star in slasher films Scream, X, and Scream VI, as well as the fantasy film Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, so it's of no surprise that the 22-year-old has her very own line-up of action figures to commemorate her stellar performance as Wednesday Addams. In a recent post on NECA's Instagram page, the company shared three 8-inch scale action figures with actual cloth outfits from Wednesday. Two of the figures are of Ortega’s Wednesday Addams in her custom black Nevermore uniform, with one including Thing on her shoulder in her iconic black and white polka dot dress, while another is of Enid Sinclair, who is played by Emma Meyers, in her purple Nevermore Academy uniform.
Underneath the post showcasing the images, NECA mentioned that the full reveal for this set will be this Wednesday, June 4th, at 2 pm EST via NECA’s online store, so fans will be able to pick them up before season 2's highly anticipated release in August. Created by Alfred Gough and Miles Millar and executive produced and directed by Tim Burton, Wednesday has gone on to become Netflix's most-streamed TV show in the company's history, as 252.1 million viewers have tuned in to watch the series, which is almost 1.719 billion hours viewed.
However, with that great success comes great responsibility, and Ortega has certainly felt the pressure. Recently, Ortega revealed the dark side of the level of fame the show had given her due to her being an introverted person. "To be quite frank, after the show and trying to figure everything out, I was an unhappy person," Ortega expressed. "After the pressure, the attention, as somebody who’s quite introverted, that was so intense and so scary."
Wednesday Season 2, part one, will be released on August 6, while the second section of episodes will debut on September 3 via Netflix.
