The aquarium is a feature in Webfishing that gives players the opportunity to show off their catches. However, some fans may be confused about how the aquarium works, as its functionality is not detailed in-game. Fortunately, the aquarium in Webfishing is not extremely complex, and this guide will attempt to give players a solid understanding of the feature.
The aquarium is entirely optional, and there are no achievements to be earned by interacting with it.
Webfishing: How to Get Spectral Rod (All Spectral Bone Locations)
Players who want to get the Spectral Rod in Webfishing can find the locations of all the Spectral Bones detailed in this guide.
Webfishing: Where is the Aquarium?
The aquarium is located within the right-most cabin at spawn. This building is next to the cabin in which players can perform rod upgrades in Webfishing, and the words "enter aquarium" will appear as fans approach the door.
Webfishing: How to Put Fish in the Aquarium
After entering the appropriate cabin, players can put a fish into the aquarium by following these steps:
- Open the backpack (Tab).
- Click on the fish to be inserted into the aquarium. It should now be in the character's hands.
- Approach the plaque in front of the aquarium and press "E" to insert the fish.
If a player has already put a fish into the aquarium, pressing "E" in front of the plaque will remove that fish and return it to their inventory. Once that occurs, fans of fishing games can press "E" again to insert the fish that they are holding.
Webfishing: What is the Aquarium Limit?
A player can have just one of their fish in the aquarium at a time. This is true for all players, which means that a 12-person lobby could have an aquarium with 12 fish if every player inserts ones.
The aquarium should thus be seen as a collaborative feature that allows lobbies to populate their tanks together rather than a place for a single player to display all their best catches. While this may be slightly disappointing to fans of casual games who want to have full control over their tanks, the collaborative nature of the aquarium can provide good opportunities for socializing.
Placing an extremely large fish into the aquarium can make it very difficult to see anything else that has been inserted into the aquarium, and it is thus recommended that players avoid putting colossal creatures on display.
Webfishing: Does the Aquarium Save?
Once a player has inserted a fish into an aquarium, the creature will remain in the tank until it is removed. This means that a fish will follow its owner from one aquarium to the next as they change lobbies, and fans of cozy games do not need to worry about losing what they have inserted.
