Warlander offers players the opportunity to hack and slash their way through opponents to get to and destroy the enemy's core. With their team, they'll defend their castle while simultaneously laying siege to their opponent's castle. They'll have their choice of three classes in battle, one of which is the Warrior.

The Warrior class in Warlander is the DPS option for players. It is the primary melee option and is the one they'll want to choose to get up close and personal with the enemy. Alternatively, the Warrior also can be used for a ranged combat option. However, to be successful in their endeavors, they'll need to create the best Warrior possible. Following these tips will help make this process easier.

4 Choose A Skill To Move Quickly And One To Deal Damage

Regardless of which Warrior the player builds, they must have a skill that allows them to traverse the map quickly. The Warrior is the slowest of the three classes and needs to have a way to move around quickly as needed. This skill allows them to rush other players, reaching them quickly to perform an attack. A couple of great options are Rocket, which allows a direct rush at an enemy followed by a sword strike, and Lunge Slash, which is a lunging sword slash that closes the gap on enemies. While players can choose to switch up the actual skill they choose, it's essential that they have one of these rapid movement skills equipped at all times.

Something else essential for the Warrior is a skill that deals a significant amount of damage, preferably one that can stun. Good options include Powerbomb, which allows the player to grab the enemy and slam them on the ground, and Whirlwind, which offers an excellent 9-strike sword combo. For a ranged Warrior, players must have Cover Shot, which allows them to use their shield as cover and fire on the enemy with their crossbow.

3 Select The Optimal Weapon And Shield Combo

While choosing a weapon and shield combo is important, the most critical part of this step is selecting the perks that go on each weapon and the shield. For the sword, the best options are Crit Damage Up, Attack Up, and Object Up. When creating a melee character, players will want to focus on Crit Damage Up or Attack Up. For a siege character, they'll be more likely to need Object Up. There's also a fourth option called Duelist's Tenacity, which has four options of its own:

  • One grants 75HP on a kill
  • One grants HP on a Critical Strike
  • One grants speed on a Critical Strike
  • One grants speed on a kill

For the shield, players can choose from Ladder Climb Speed, Guard Move Up, Vanguard's Tenacity, and Object Move Up. Guard Move Up is ideal for a melee build. Object Move Up allows for increased movement speed when handling siege equipment. Vanguard's Tenacity offers players an HP boost for every attack on their shield. For the crossbow, players have the option for Load Capacity Up, Crossbow Attack Up, Enhanced Headshot, and Duelist's Tenacity.

2 Choose The Best Equipment Perks

When choosing the equipment for the Warrior, players will need to ensure they have the best perks. There are limited perk options, which makes this much easier to manage. Optimizing the equipment based on the available perks will allow for the best Warrior build. Additionally, it's important to remember that at the start of the game, the Warrior will likely have nothing equipped. The player will need to check the equipment screen and add anything they have available to ensure the Warrior is not defenseless.

The best available perks are the following:

  • HP Up: Gives the player more HP
  • Superior Foe Killer: Gives the player bonus star power whenever they kill an enemy above their star level
  • Move Up: Allows for faster movement on the battlefield
  • Cleric/Mage/Warrior Killer: Increases the ability to damage or kill the specified class
  • Siege-Weapon Attack Up: Adds a bonus to the player's siege weapons

1 Select Beneficial Talents

When players first start in the game, they'll need to check their Talents screen. Generally, the default is to have them all unequipped. They should have enough to place one in each slot to get their Warrior started. They're pretty straightforward to use because players can see exactly what they do right on the screen.

In the early game, players will want to focus on Build Speed Up, Tower Occupation Speed, and Build Accuracy Up. These three Talents don't cost a lot and offer plenty of benefits. Using Superior Foe Killer on all lower-star characters is essential, as this boosts the damage to these enemies. If the player has chosen to make their Warrior ranged, they'll need to run Crossbow Power Up to ensure they get the most out of their character.
