The regular mouse trap in Warhammer: Vermintide 2 wouldn't work. Because when one is currently facing a rat as big as a human (which previously, obviously didn't exist at all) then the best course of action would be to kill them with fire. And in Warhammer: Vermintide 2, there's no better pyromaniac than Sienna Fuegonasus.

This Bright Wizard from Warhammer lore has definitely fallen far from grace due to her addiction to all things bright and glowing. Still, the mere mortals in the Empire can't be picky with their heroes. Not all heroes wield warhammers, after all, some of them roast their enemies alive, and these weapons are the best cooking tools for Sienna.

8 Flaming Flail

flaming flail in vermintide 2

How to unlock

  • Winds of Magic DLC

Pros

  • Ignores shields
  • Good area coverage
  • Excellent crowd control
  • Fast attacks
  • Not much need for aiming

Cons

  • Narrow block angle

Even a wizard can pack heat in the Warhammer mythos, and the Flaming Flail is the perfect weapon for such a profession. It's the best of both worlds. Fire damage spreads damage over time ticks to hordes of enemies and it's easy to apply the status to them.

Players simply wave and thrash their flails around and every living, hostile thing in sight will usually light up in a fiery blaze of glory, and then die shortly after. But hey, it's better to burn out than to fade away. Also, since the Flaming Flail ignores shields, it's an ideal tool for dealing with Stormvermin or other shielded and armored enemies.

7 Sword

vermintide 2 sword

How to unlock

  • Level 1

Pros

  • Fast attacks
  • Good cleave and area coverage
  • Heavy attacks are good against armor
  • Easy to obtain

Cons

  • Narrow block angle
  • Low dodge count

It's understandable why some players might be averse to using the Flaming Flail. Flails, after all, take a bit of practice and need better timing compared to more conventional weapons, such as the simple Sword. Sienna also gets one as soon as Level 1 and players will be pleased to know that they needn't replace it immediately.

Because the regular Sword complements Sienna's playstyle quite well. She mostly has a knack for dealing with hordes fast through her fire staves and spells, but every once in a while, Sienna will need something to deal with big bad armored dudes. That's usually a job for the Sword.

6 Fire Sword

How to unlock

  • Level 12

Pros

  • Heavy Attacks pierce armor and burn targets
  • Impressive cleave power
  • Fast attacks
  • Easy to perform headshots
  • Burning damage

Cons

  • Low Light Attack damage
  • Reliant on damage over time for overall output

Come Level 12, players who are looking to replace their regular Swords will be rewarded for their grind with the Fire Sword. This is by far Sienna's best universal tool as it's not only thematic but also powerful enough to bring in any situation or difficulty, even Legend.

The downside of the Fire Sword is that the actual damage per hit is quite low compared to regular weapons. But players can make up for that with Heavy Attacks and burning damage. Thus, it's a well-balanced weapon both for hordes and endurance boss fights.

5 Dagger

vermintide 2 sienna dagger

How to unlock

  • Level 5

Pros

  • Fast attacks
  • Charge attacks deal damage over time
  • Surprisingly good at cleave and multiple targets
  • Effective against armor
  • Blocking push attacks pierce armor and costs low

Cons

  • Pathetic block angle
  • Short melee range

Sienna's Dagger is good proof that big surprises come in small packages; because despite the usual consensus for daggers, this one goes above and beyond its weight class. It's not only effective against armor but also has good cleave power, making it great for crowd control too.

The attacks are also fast, and the shove or push attack has a nifty little bonus that lets players damage armor. Sadly, it still comes with the usual limitations of daggers in that its melee range is short and it's not a good defensive weapon.

4 Crowbill

Crowbill in vermintide 2

How to unlock

  • Back to Ubersreik DLC

Pros

  • High damage
  • Deals damage over time
  • Good for crowd control
  • Good against armor

Cons

  • Narrow block angle
  • Low dodge count

The Crowbill is one of Sienna's most underrated weapons. But if players are willing to give it a shot, it might just find its place in Sienna's typical arsenal. This is one of her heaviest weapons, which makes it ideal for dealing damage to armored enemies.

It only takes a few swings to clear up a horde due to high damage and the damage over time via burn ensures that enemies who survive the initial swing will succumb to the flames. Overall, it's a well-rounded and versatile weapon, more so than its weight class implies.

3 Bolt Staff

Bolt Staff in vermintide 2

How to unlock

  • Level 7

Pros

  • Primary attack shoots two fireballs
  • Secondary attack is a more accurate flame arrow
  • Infinite ammo
  • Rapid fire
  • Bonus headshot damage
  • Good for sniping
  • Deals damage over time
  • Versatile

Cons

  • Low dodge count

There's really not much of a drawback to using the Bolt Staff, that's why a lot of players will agree that it's Sienna's best ranged weapon, especially when paired with something like the Flaming Flail or the Fire Sword. The infinite ammo count definitely helps here.

The charged attack arrow is even enough to one-shot Chaos Warriors with proper placement and timing. The fact that it's also a rapid-firing weapon means that most players will find it hard to replace this one due to its versatility and lack of apparent weaknesses.

2 Beam Staff

Beam Staff in vermintide 2

How to unlock

  • Level 8

Pros

  • Shoots a laser fire
  • Secondary attack functions like a shotgun
  • Tertiary attack mode creates an explosion at the end of the beam
  • Good for crowd control
  • Good for sniping
  • Deals damage over time
  • Infinite ammo

Cons

  • Beam starts off slow and has low damage initially
  • Low dodge count

The Beam Staff is what many players might have guessed based on its name. It's Sienna's death ray laser device. Players will fire off a beam that will deal damage over time though they will need to sustain this beam until it reaches its full damage potential.

The two alternate fire modes create excellent opportunities for Sienna to deal area damage and crowd control. Meanwhile, the primary beam itself is awesome for sniping targets from afar. Thus, this also makes the Beam Staff versatile though with less of an impact than the Bolt Staff.

1 Coruscation Staff

Coruscation Staff in vermintide 2

How to unlock

  • Forgotten Relics DLC

Pros

  • Deals damage over time
  • Good for crowd control
  • Devastating charged attack
  • Functions like a shotgun
  • Infinite ammo

Cons

  • Low dodge count

The Coruscation Staff is a good alternative if players prefer a more up-close and personal way to fight. It's practically Sienna's shotgun since the primary attack will fire violent cinders from the staff and unleash a hail of damage ticks on enemies at close range.

But the fun part of this staff is the secondary attack, which is a spell that conjures up a fire tornado at a target location. This Firestorm will spin for quite a generous duration and wreak havoc on enemy ranks. It's perfect for clearing up a pack to revive someone, or just to see enemies spinning in a fiery, agonizing death.

Warhammer Vermintide 2 is available now for PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
