Unlike most enemies that stick to the ground, the Neurothrope levitates and moves around freely. It tends to maintain distance from the player, making weapons like the Melta Rifle less effective in this battle. However, its aerial nature makes it easier for players to track and shoot.

The boss relies on a variety of ranged and area of effect attacks. The fight is more about dodging these attacks and closing the gap, rather than just plain shooting. Periodically, the boss will also summon swarms of Tyranids to slow down the player's assault.
