Even with the superhuman skills of a Space Marine, you need powerful weapons to take down the relentless Tyranid swarms in Space Marine 2. To get new perks for your weapons, you need a unique currency called Mastery Points. Unlike other currencies in Space Marine 2, you’ll need to grind a lot to get enough Mastery Points. How to Get Mastery Points in Space Marine 2
There are a couple of ways you can get Mastery Points in Space Marine 2:
Level Up Weapons And Their Variants
The more you use a specific weapon in combat during Operations, the more XP it gains. Once you've maxed out the XP for that weapon, you'll earn a Mastery Point. Keep using different weapon variants or upgrades until their XP reaches the maximum level.
While you can gain weapon experience by playing in Eternal War PvP mode, completing Operations is a faster and more efficient way to level up weapons and earn Mastery Points.
To earn more Mastery Points for a specific weapon type, you need to upgrade its different variants or upgrades to their maximum XP level. Once you've maxed out all available upgrades for a weapon type, it will be considered "fully mastered."
Use Armory Data
If you’re not too keen on spending time grinding through Operations, you can use Armory Data to instantly level up your weapon and get a Mastery Point. Armory Data is another currency in Space Marine 2 that can be earned by successfully completing Operations and finding Servo Skulls.
Simply hover your mouse over the weapon variant you want to max out and left-click it to use an Armory Data point (green, purple, gold) to level it up immediately.
While you can use Armory Data to acquire Mastery Points, you won’t get Weapon XP, which is used to unlock higher upgrade tiers.
How To Use Mastery Points in Space Marine 2
You can use Mastery Points to unlock different Weapons Perks. These perks provide additional benefits for your weapons, such as increased damage, improved accuracy, or special abilities.
The type of perks you can unlock depends on your weapon's Tier. Higher Tiers offer more powerful perks. You can upgrade your weapon's Tier using Armory Data.
You can reset your perk selections at any time, which means you can change your build whenever you want.
