6 Inferno

Ambush Tyranid Forces With Open Spaces and Effective Traps

  • Set a Trap for the Tyranid Swarm
  • Time Your Ambush to Decimate Their Forces

Aid Lieutenant Titus by blocking the Tyranid swarm’s advancement on the planet of Kadaku. Whilst it might not be a permanent victory, it will be long enough for a successful withdrawal, where Ultramarines will be tasked with detonating a promethium refinery to create an ambush worthy of praise.

Inferno is a rather open map, so there is plenty of room to fight without being overwhelmed. The objectives are rather straightforward, but there are some elements of difficulty when players are tasked with protecting generators from Tyranids periodically. Nevertheless, it’s a quick and effective Operation thanks to useful traps and wide spaces.

5 Decapitation

Defeat a Powerful Hive Tyrant and Swarms of Tyranids

  • Deploy Charges on the Bridge Supports
  • Slay the Hive Tyrant

With the Astropathic Relay on Avarax under siege by a swarm of Tyranids, the Ultramarines must embark to the surface where they must rig a bridge with explosives to eliminate the Hive Tyrant that leads the unending swarms that ravish the planet.

Fans of single-player campaigns are certain to enjoy what these Warhammer 40K games have to offer.

Deploying explosive charges isn’t going to be easy, but with a swift team, this goal can be accomplished rather quickly against the waves of enemies. The true challenge comes from the Hive Tyrant boss fight, as it can hit hard. Luckily, a few evasive tricks and advantageous abilities make short work of this two-phase boss fight for the Space Marines.

4 Fall of Atreus

Make Use of a Decommissioned Battle Barge Against Chaos

  • Advance to the Decommissioned Battle Barge
  • Prepare the Sword of Atreus for Launch

With the Thousand Sons deploying a Silver Tower that has blocked the access routes to Ultramarine forces to Aurora, those left on the graveyard planet are faced with a plan to make this a short war through unorthodox methods: ram the tower with the ancient Battle Barge, the Sword of Atreus.

Players must rally together as a unit of three as they battle through Chaos forces to reach the decommissioned Battle Barge. The mission itself isn’t too hard, and players have to navigate a pretty linear area with mild swarms of Chaos enemies, all to escort a fusion core that isn’t too puzzling to navigate and cannot be harmed by enemies.

3 Ballistic Engine

Send an Explosive Into Tyranid Hordes Through Defending a Railway

  • Commandeer a Nova Cannon Warhead
  • Deploy the Warhead to the Hive City by Rail

The sixth Operation has players come up against Tyranid forces, where they will embark on Avarax to perform a well-targeted strike to diminish their numbers. The Ultramarines are tasked with venturing to the nearby Astra Militarum depot, which has rail lines that can turn the tides of the war.

Embarking on this mission is no small task, but it’s not the hardest out there. Players will periodically have their vision reduced when sand storms sweep across the open areas of the map, obscuring their defense as Tyranids provide surprise attacks. As players navigate through the railyards, they will face hordes of Tyranids and they will be forced to defend and escort a train to its final destination.

2 Vox Liberatis

Battle Tyranids, Chaos, and a Daemon in the Making

  • Identify the Source of the Vox Jamming
  • Cleanse the Area of Heretical Influences

Vox channels have gone dark around the Astropathic Relay on Avarax, and the Ultramarines need to clear the source of the jamming, whether it’s Tyranid or Chaos behind it. With a mission to destroy the sabotage and restore communications, a grand-scale war is set to pit these iconic Space Marines against the Tyranid swarm and the Chaos forces, all in one mission.

Warhammer 40K's lore is riddled with warfare among factions. Which of the many sides of the conflict are the most powerful?

Vox Liberatis can be fairly challenging due to the abundance of enemies that players will face. There are both Tyranids and Chaos operating in this mission, so some players might struggle to adapt to the different types of enemies. The objectives are also rather lengthy, and most of the objectives require players to capture points which means they have to stand around and hold ground.

1 Reliquary

Battle Against the Fiery Rage of a Helldrake and Chaos Forces

  • Navigate the Catacombs
  • Destroy the Warp Beacon

As traitorous forces amass march on the graveyard planet of Aurora, Ultramarines are tasked with thwarting the efforts on Demerium to eradicate the established warp beacon that has been set up on the Ecclesiarchy compound. Tasked with destroying the beacon, the Ultramarines will be up against Chaos forces, including a dreaded Helldrake.

Reliquary is going to be a tough battle, as players must venture through the catacombs of a graveyard planet to change the tides of the war. This is a rather lengthy Operation, and Chaos is no joke here. Further into the mission, players must run and evade a Helldrake’s fire across a lengthy pathway riddled with Chaos, only to then face the Helldrake in a tough battle that can engulf the arena in flame and fury.
