Encountering Imurah in Voidsong
Titus and his brothers will encounter Imurah in mission Voidsong (Operation 4). After the cutscene with Neoma, where she accuses you of treachery, and Gadriel threatens you, you'll discover that the accuser is actually Imurah in disguise, attempting to sow discord among your ranks. Once the cutscene concludes, the battle against Imurah begins.
How To Beat Helbrute in Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2
Learn key strategies to defeat the Helbrute in Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2, including dodging tips, grenade use, and how to handle his attacks.
Phase 1: Long-Range Combat
The Imurah boss fight in Voidsong not only tests your skill but also your patience, as the boss has two distinct phases, each with its own unique mechanics. During Phase 1, Imurah becomes a long-range threat, hovering around the arena and summoning several snake heads that home in on your position. It’s best to destroy these heads before they get too close and deal damage.
Throughout Phase 1, you will be engaging Imurah from a distance, as he rarely comes close enough for melee attacks. Take your time, refill your ammo, and prepare for a long battle. There is an ammo crate in the boss arena — try to stay near it since you'll need to replenish your ammo frequently.
For this fight, it's advisable to bring long-range weapons, so consider swapping out the
Melta Rifle beforehand.
Imurah also fires a volley of purple plasma across a large part of the arena, which you can dodge just before it hits you to avoid damage. However, the main attack to watch for is when the middle area of the arena turns red. This is your cue to get behind the large pillar. Once the area turns blue, you should throw a grenade at it, as multiple minor enemies (
Tzaangors) will emerge. A well-timed grenade can take out a large group of them, allowing you to focus on Imurah instead of being overwhelmed.
Additionally, a few Rubric Marines (Chaos Marines with flamethrowers) will spawn. These enemies take several shots to defeat, so it's best to deal with them first to regain control of the battlefield. You can also farm Rubric Marines for Finishers to refill your armor slots.

Phase 2: Close-Range Combat
Once you deplete Imurah's first health bar, he will transform and abandon his hovering ability for close-range combat. He will now fight on the ground, wielding a giant Scythe that he can also throw using a chain. In this phase, Imurah's attacks can deal significant damage, so you'll need to be cautious. He often targets your teammates with his close-range attacks, allowing you to shoot him from a distance. Dodge his attacks when he focuses on you.
When Imurah is surrounded by a giant red circle, he will launch three consecutive plasma shots — dodge these attacks. When the circle is blue, either dodge or parry his long-range Scythe attacks. Successfully parrying his Scythe attacks twice will give you an opportunity to perform a Gun Strike, dealing heavy damage.
If Imurah turns the ground purple, move away quickly, as his next attack will lift you into the air and inflict heavy electric damage. He may also disappear and reappear near you to attack with his Scythe. If you dodge or parry these attacks successfully, you can counter with a Gun Strike once again.
You don’t need to deplete Imurah’s entire health bar in the second phase to win. Inflicting damage when he has about a quarter of his health remaining will end the fight. Details of what happens next are omitted to avoid spoilers.
