Saber Interactive has announced that Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2’s Patch 10, titled the Anniversary Update, will arrive on September 4, while also revealing a roadmap that details plans extending into 2026. Released in September 2024, Space Marine 2 received warm reception from critics and players alike, earning praise for its crunchy combat and satisfying game feel. The short campaign and lack of endgame content did raise some eyebrows, but the post-launch content updates put those concerns to rest.

Space Marine 2 Hits Its Lowest Price In Limited-Time Sale

Since launch, Space Marine 2 has received quite a few major updates, both paid and free. All paid DLCs, including the Season Pass, are purely cosmetic, with gameplay content being released for free. Over the past year, Space Marine 2 has received new game modes, quality-of-life features, and gameplay improvements in the form of free updates, released roughly every three months. The latest, Patch 9, was a massive QoL overhaul that made sweeping balance changes to everything from class perks to weapon damage, fine-tuning the combat feel.

Space Marine 2 Patch 10 and Future Roadmap Revealed

On August 28, Saber Interactive confirmed that Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 would be receiving its next major update, Patch 10, on September 4, coinciding with the game’s first anniversary. The Anniversary Update will add a story mission, a PvE mode called Stratagems, and a PvP mode titled Helbrute Onslaught, alongside new maps, weapons, enemies, and progression systems. The Chaos Armor Pack is being packaged with it as well.

Patch 10 will also introduce Champion skin customization to Space Marine 2, a much-requested feature that has been a long time coming. Players will be able to mix and match various armor parts from different Champions to create the perfect warrior. Saber has warned, however, that the system isn't completely freeform, and some restrictions are in place. For Season Pass 2, Saber will add a Black Templars Champion Pack for the Bulwark and the Imperial Fists Cosmetic Pack, containing over 40 items.

In addition to the upcoming patch and Season Pass, the studio also unveiled the Year 2 roadmap for Space Marine 2, outlining plans for six major patches, scheduled from late 2025 through mid-2026. Like the 2025 battle plan, the new roadmap details all upcoming updates for the rest of the year, starting with Patch 10 in September and continuing all the way to Patch 15 in Q2 2026. Most notably, Patch 12, set to release sometime in Q1 2026, will bring the highly anticipated Techmarine class to Space Marine 2, putting an end to speculation that has persisted since launch.

A year after launch, Space Marine 2 has transformed into a content-rich experience, and with a clear roadmap stretching into 2026, the game shows no signs of slowing down. Fans have plenty to look forward to in the coming months, as the new game modes, weapons, and planned improvements will likely give them enough content to sink hundreds of hours into the game.
