Warhammer 40K  just released a new app which could revolutionize the way the game releases new content. Rather than buying each new book when they release, players now have the option of subscribing to Warhammer 40,000: The App, which contains every codex available and promises to update with new ones as they release.

Like other tabletop war games, Warhammer 40K  can get pretty expensive. Not only do players have to buy books in order to keep up with new rules and releases, they also have to purchase models in order to be able to use them in games. This new app may end up alleviating some of that stress.

Warhammer 40,000: The App is a subscription based service, so those wanting to use it will need to pay $5 per month. This may seem like a hefty investment to some, but given the frequency with which new books release and the price of Warhammer 40K's expensive miniatures, it's actually a good deal for dedicated gamers.

It seems that although the app contains the most recent Warhammer 40K  codex, players will still need to make some kind of additional purchase once the next one comes out. What that will look like is unknown at the moment, so fans may want to keep an eye on this.
