Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 2 is rife with action and a gripping storyline scattered across the game's campaign and operations modes. Within these modes are dataslates, which are audio logs of NPCs throughout the game that have experienced the horrors of the Tyranids and Chaos forces.
Players looking to collect all the trophies/achievements in the game will need to thoroughly scour the various planets for all 35 dataslates. For those who are in the opening stages of the campaign, a knowledge of where to find all the dataslates from Space Marine 2's second mission, titled Severance, will help you on your way to acquiring the elusive platinum.
Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 - All Dataslate Locations
Collecting all of the dataslates in Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 will earn players the Data Mining trophy/achievement. Here's where to find them.
All Severance Collectible Locations In Space Marine 2
Much like the first mission in Space Marine 2's campaign mode, Severance has four audio logs for players to acquire. This by no means makes the second mission easier than its predecessor, as there are still swarms of Tyranids to deal with. Here are the locations of both dataslates in mission two.
Dataslate #1
Players will need to progress a little into the second mission before they encounter the first dataslate. There are multiple areas where you will overcome hordes of Tyranids, one of which will have Titus walk under a bridge and encounter a camp. It is in this area that the first audio recording can be collected.
From the camp, take a right, as the path would suggest, but turn left at the start of the ramp instead of right to head towards the bridge. You'll encounter another ramp which leads up to a destroyed Astartes armored tank. Simply venture around the tank and you will find a number of lootable supplies, along with the first dataslate of the second mission.
Dataslate #2
The second dataslate can be found much further into the mission. Before you encounter it, you will first need to defeat the Lichtor that is terrorizing the Cadian forces settled in Kadaku. Once you have slain the beast, you will work your way to a large facility.
Once you reach the facility and dispatch the enemy Tyranid forces guarding the entrance, the Magos will open the door for you. To continue the mission, you'll need to operate the elevator on the right, but don't go there just yet. Head straight to the back wall as you enter the facility, and you will find the second dataslate nestled amongst the sandbags on the right.
Dataslate #3
The third dataslate is an easy one to miss, as it requires players accessing an area that isn't necessary for the progression of the story. As you work your way through the facility, you'll come to a room with a small group of Tyranids, which will ambush you in greater numbers once you engage. As you enter the room, there is a console on the left that you can interact with to open the sealed door on the left side of the room.
Once the door is opened, a number of larger Tyranids (although not as large as a Carnifex, thankfully) will stand in your way, so you'll first need to deal with them before proceeding any further. Once the room is clear, turn to the right and head up the tunnel that had a large fan at the end. The dataslate can be found against the railing.
Dataslate #4
The final dataslate can be found after players endure the horrors of the
Ripper Swarms and Tyranids that try to put a stop to Titus and his squad's mission to acquire the Archmagos' data. Once their duties with the Magos are completed, they equip themselves with the jump packs from inside the facility, and continue through Kadaku with them.
Shortly after acquiring the jump packs, players will need to traverse to the right as they enter the first cluster of cliffs. There is be a small cave that Titus can walk into. Along the left side of the cave is another ledge, which you will need to jump onto with the jump pack. At the end of the ledge is the final dataslate, a long with a Medicae Stim, should you need one.
