Beating the Lichtor in Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2

In Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2, players will meet the Lichtor head-on as part of the Severance mission. Listen to the team as well as Titus' warnings about heading into a trap, so make sure you grab the nearby Bolt Carbine ranged weapon and stock up on your ammo and grenades before going into the swamp.

Once you are in the arena proper, get ready for a fight that will test your patience when it comes to dodging and shooting. The Lichtor is capable of going invisible and uses five different launching points for it to start the attack. It can hang off walls, use the branches of the trees as platforms, and catch you when you least expect it. However, for the eagled-eyed, you can still spot the creature against the background of the level, so keep shooting whenever you have the chance.

Your AI teammates will often be staring in the direction of the Lichtor, so use that to help guide your focus during the fight.

However, the best way to cause damage to the Lichtor is up close, so wait for the enemy to pounce. This is a risky move, as getting caught by its unblockable attack can cause lots of damage. Wait for the red ring to appear, and dodge at the last second, before parrying its follow-up attack. Now, you will have a window to use melee attacks, as well as Gun Strikes to deal increased damage.

This pattern will persist as you whittle its health down before smaller swarms start to join the fight. Use your grenades to make short work of them, and if you can, throw some Krak grenades onto the Lichtor for focused damage. Keep up the pressure by dodging, parrying, and punishing the Lichtor, and aim your shots well in between, and this boss will be consigned to death soon enough.
