In Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2, most of the boss fights are telegraphed well in advance, but for the Carnifex, it will occur seemingly out of nowhere. As it rips open the gates in front of Titus and his battle brothers, prepare yourself for one of the toughest fights in the game.

There is not much rest when fighting the Carnifex, as it will constantly engage your team by using its ranged attack, or charging at you to do damage. The best way to avoid any significant damage from the monster is to keep your range, and concentrate your ranged fire on the boss.

This will allow you to chip away at its health slowly, and when it is being distracted by your teammates, chuck your grenades at its feet to deal even more damage. This will eventually catch the monster's attention, so prepare to dodge several times from its unblockable attacks. And even when it appears safe to get close for melee attacks, do not fall into that trap, as the Carnifex will either sweep around it or cause a shockwave that can knock you off your feet. Staying at range and collecting additional ammo and grenades around the arena is best.
