Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2

Since it was first revealed at The Game Awards back in 2021, players have been eagerly anticipating the release of Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2. After several years of development and a delay, it won't be much longer before players can get their hands on this game.

The sequel to the iconic 2011 title is set to release on September 9, but players who pre-ordered the Gold or Ultra Editions will gain early access starting September 5. Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 will be available on PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5. Unfortunately, the game won't be available on any video game streaming services like Xbox Game Pass or PlayStation Plus at this time. If you want to check this game out, it will set you back $60 or more depending on which edition you purchased.

Space Marine 2 supports Family Sharing on Steam, allowing you to play the game through a friend's library. The only limitation is that the owner's account must not be playing any game at the same time.

Which PC Stores Are Selling Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2?

Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 will be available on both Steam and the Epic Games Store. The prices for all three editions are the same on both platforms, so where you choose to purchase the game is a matter of personal preference. Unfortunately, the game will not be available for purchase on GOG, which is surprising given that Space Marine 2 won't feature Denuvo. At present, there has been no word on if this game will ever be available on GOG.

Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 is a true current-gen title. Neither the PS4 nor the Xbox One, including their later iterations like the PS4 Pro and Xbox One X, will be able to run the game. The title offers incredible visual fidelity and features numerous enemies on screen simultaneously, which may be why the developer chose to skip the previous generation of consoles. Given the game's high hardware requirements, it's unlikely that it will ever be released on 8th-gen platforms.
