In Voice of Cards: The Isle Dragon Roars, players will have to traverse a map of hidden cards. Each card represents a small portion of the map. Finding new locations involves a lot of danger from enemies and random events, so players will want to find towns as quickly as possible. This includes Thriceton, the first town players have to find without the aid of a map in this Square Enix JRPG.

Thriceton in Voice of Cards

In the newest in a long line of unique Yoko Taro games, Voice of Cards is a world entirely made of cards. Cards make up the people, the buildings, the towns, the enemies, the ocean, and more. In order to move from one place to another inside the game, players will have to uncover their route, one card at a time. After completing the tutorial, players will leave the safety of Nexton and will need to venture into the unknown to find the next town, Thriceton.

Finding the Way in Voice of Cards

In order to find the next location players need to head to, they should have a chat with all the available people in every town. Just like other old-school JRPGs, players will need to look for in-game hints to find their next destination. Talking with the NPCs will usually give players an idea of the direction to head as well as the approximate distance from one place to the next.

In Nexton, chatting with the townspeople will reveal that Thriceton is to the northwest. Players will also learn that venturing from the path is dangerous, as the area is now filled with monsters who will attack. Therefore, players need to look for a path that heads in that direction from the town. Heading west will reveal a cobblestone path surrounded by grasses and trees. Continue west until a signpost is revealed.

In Voice of Cards: the Isle Dragon Roars, signposts will also help players to find their way; when clicking on it, the sign lets the reader know that Thriceton is directly to the north. It is still imperative at this point to stay on the path. At the low levels a player will be at this point in the game, some of the creatures off of the path can kill the unwary. After players have leveled up a little and gotten some new armor and weapon cards in the shops, they will probably want to explore off of the path.

After the sign, head directly north to find Thriceton. Now players will be able to safely fast travel between the two towns, which will give them places to get to quickly if a fight should drain all their resources in the FF8 Triple Triad-inspired Voice of Cards.
