A cryptic post from Sega has caused speculation among fighting game fans, with many believing that the publisher is teasing Virtua Fighter 6. Sega even addressed the possibility of a new Virtua Fighter game, with co-COO of Sega Corporation and Sega of America CEO Shuji Utsumi agreeing that the classic 3D fighting game series is overdue for a return. The last mainline Virtua Fighter game released was Virtua Fighter 5 back in 2006. It later got a remake using Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio's proprietary Dragon Engine, re-released as Virtua Fighter 5 Ultimate Showdown on PlayStation 4 in 2021. Now, Sega has posted an incredibly cryptic image on its official Twitter account, which some gamers believe is hinting toward Virtua Fighter 6.
