Starfield Delayed, Direct Showcase Airing This Summer

Starfield-Collecting-Iron

Starfield recently announced a release date of September 6, 2023. Starfield did not have a concrete release date prior, just a release window within 12 months of the 2022 Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase. This delay pushes it firmly outside that window, but the summer will not be completely devoid of Starfield news since a showcase has been announced for June 11.

Once a Capcom Spotlight was confirmed for March 2023, fans assumed the previously announced Resident Evil 4 remake would drop a demo during the event. Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League shared a ton of gameplay footage during the latest PlayStation State of Play. However, it appears that fan backlash has resulted in another delay for Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles’ Shredder has been teased for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, serving as the latest in a long line of licensed Call of Duty Operators. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is certainly not new to the gaming sphere, and has even appeared in titles unrelated to the franchise like Injustice 2, so with a new animated movie on the way it is the perfect time to see TMNT content pop up in more places.

Diablo 4 betas begin next weekend, giving any fans who have pre-ordered the game a chance to play three of its five classes early. However, a rare promotion is also available in which fans can earn access to the Diablo 4 Beta through the purchase of a KFC Double Down at participating locations. This is surely an interesting marketing strategy, and will hopefully open the door to more Early Access codes for eager players.

Features

The Deluxe Edition content for Star Wars Jedi: Survivor puts an emphasis on cosmetic skins for Cal Kestis, who did not previously have a lot of going on in this department. Survivor will improve upon that with more customization, and it will be interesting to see if any other customization options have been hidden away from fans thus far, such as new hairstyles.

Movies & TV

The Last of Us games all include LGBTQ+ representation, and that has been highlighted further in the HBO adaptation of the original game. Some people have expressed an unwillingness to watch The Last of Us as a result, and Ellie’s actor Bella Ramsey has since scolded those who would use that as a reason not to give the show a chance.

Guides

Dead Cells’ new Castlevania collaboration has apparently led to some confusion regarding how to access certain aspects, since the game seems to lead players back to original content. There are two different entry points to the DLC, but only one will lead players to the Master’s Keep and Dracula.

Fatal Frame: Mask of the Lunar Eclipse has finally made its way to the West after having only been released in Japan beforehand. The Best War Games's review states it was worth the wait beyond some of its outdated controls, being a remaster of a 15-year-old game.
