Announced in the latest Dev Diary on Paradox's website, Update 1.8 and the new Pivot of Empire DLC will be coming to Victoria 3 on November 21. Like past DLC for Victoria 3, Pivot of Empire will add new events, characters, and objectives for players. Centered around the Indian Subcontinent, players will be able to experience the fall of the East Indian Company and the rise of the British Raj. A new map alongside unique events and journal entries covering a century of political evolution in Indian countries are some of the highlights players can expect from the Pivot of Empire DLC.

Victoria 3 Pivot of Empire DLC and Free 1.8 Update Release Date

The Pivot of Empire DLC will bring additional narrative content to Victoria 3, and it will be priced at €9.99 or around $10.99 in US dollars. While gamers will have to buy the new DLC, Update 1.8 will be free to download for all Victoria 3 players. This update includes some general bug fixes and quality-of-life adjustments alongside some additional content for the game. Indian Caste Laws will be added, alongside a revision to the already available Indian Uprising Events. Famines, Company Building Ownership, and National, Religious, and Ideologically Focused Political Movements will also be added to Victoria 3. Finally, Discrimination will be receiving a rework that adds more details and layers to the mechanic.

While gamers will have to wait a bit until these updates are added to Victoria 3, the developers are going to keep the community in the loop through weekly Dev Diaries, with the next few entries promising to talk more about the upcoming DLC.
