The name of Vegeta's new transformation has amused fans. Vegeta denying that he used Super Saiyan 3 is on point with his personality. He is known for being someone who never compromises on his pride, even if it means being unreasonable. As previously stated, Vegeta's new transformation is indeed Super Saiyan 3, and he used the name only to avoid admitting that he used it.

Dragon Ball Daima was announced in October 2023. It was confirmed that Akira Toriyama was heavily involved in the creation of the series. He has been credited for the story and character designs. Additionally, he was credited with designing several monsters, vehicles, and background characters. According to reports, Dragon Ball Daima had been in development for five years. Akio Iyoku, the executive producer, also mentioned that they used Dragon Ball GT as a starting point.

He also mentioned that the staff brought up the project while they were working on Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero. When they approached Toriyama, he was overjoyed.

Akio Iyoku mentioned that Dragon Ball Daima was made with the aim of entertaining fans who grew up watching Dragon Ball GT. Due to the unfortunate death of Akira Toriyama, many doubted whether the series would go ahead with the release or not.

A New Project Won't Be Announced Anytime Soon

But the staff wanted to release the anime as an homage to Akira Toriyama. Eventually, it began airing on October 11, 2024, and the final episode was released on February 28, 2025. Despite its flaws, fans weren't overly critical of the anime as they knew it was Akira Toriyama's last project.

Since Dragon Ball Daima has only just ended, it is unreasonable to assume that a new project will be announced in the coming months. So, Dragon Ball fans will have to remain patient and wait for quite some time for new updates.

Dragon Ball Daima is available to stream on Crunchyroll.
