After a year on the market, Riot Games' tactical shooter Valorant is still going strong. The game is reaching about 14 million monthly players, and Riot recently held its first international LAN tournament with the VCT Masters Reykjavik esports event. Valorant's developers continue to excite the player base with free content, such as new player cards.

Though Riot first tried to fix the issues with the redemption site, it has now decided to give all players the Duality card automatically. Instead of players needing to deal with the faulty redemption site, Valorant  accounts are now granted the Duality card for free, and should soon see it appear in their inventory. Riot also reminded players to check out the Duality lore cinematic, and it is likely that some of this lore will come into play very soon with the upcoming Episode 3.

It is great that Riot is automatically giving players the Duality card, especially since there may have been some that didn't know about it in the first place. Plus, combining a limited-time redemption process with a site that constantly gives users errors wasn't a great situation. Riot may also end up doing a similar process with its assortment of Pride Month-themed player cards. Especially since players have to use the same redemption site, which is also leaving players with error messages when they try to redeem certain Pride player cards.

Riot Games has shown time and time again that it's in touch with its community, from celebrating Pride Month with themed cosmetics across all its games to offering mental health resources for content creators. While there are plenty of players who may never use the Duality card, it is a nice gesture on Riot's part to grant the card to all players. Hopefully, Riot can fix the underlying issue with the redemption site, since there will likely be more chances to use it in the future. Alternatively, Riot could just add an option to redeem codes into the Valorant  client itself, like many other games do.

Valorant is available now for PC, with a mobile version in development.
