One Valheim player recently shared the incredible medieval village they created in the game’s Plains biome. Valheim remains one of the most popular survival games on the market, with many players drawn to its detailed and complex base-building systems.
Released in early access in 2021, Valheim managed to sell over 12 million units on Steam and is currently available on Xbox Game Pass until the end of September. The Norse-inspired survival game looks simple from the outside, but Valheim features an in-depth base-building system, offering plenty of options for players to tinker with as they explore.
Valheim Players Point Out Obvious Missed Opportunity
While most players find the progression system in Valheim to be well designed, they can't help but feel one material could have been handled better.
A Valheim player named Valheimvillage on Reddit has shared a few pictures of the stunning medieval-inspired village they created in the Plains biome. The small village is set above the water and is connected to the mainland via a rather robust bridge. The area has a few mills and some small houses made out of stone and dark wood. In some of the pictures, it’s possible to see the interior of the buildings, which are well-organized and include beds, crafting areas, and other living quarters. Overall, the post has been fairly popular, achieving over 500 upvotes and inspiring users to praise Valheimvillage’s work and the details of their creation.
Valheim Player's Amazing Medieval-Inspired Plains Village
This is just the latest of several awe-inspiring bases shared by Valheim players with the community. Last month, for example, one gamer shared an impressive island base they built in Valheim. The location featured multiple buildings, a beautifully detailed garden, and some docks, along with massive bedrooms, trophy rooms, and more.
Around the same time, a similarly creative player also recreated Amon Sul from Lord of the Rings in Valheim. During construction, the player was heavily inspired by how the Amon Sul ruins are depicted in Peter Jackon's iteration of Fellowship of the Ring, using Creative Mode and several stones to recreate the famous hill.
Valheim players will likely continue to create amazing bases, especially considering that new biomes are scheduled to appear in upcoming updates. Valheim is set to add the Swamp biome in the future, and while not much is known about the next update, many are expecting it to be released sometime this Fall. The new biome may bring new challenges, resources, and even more interesting vistas that will help to inspire gamers to craft a stunning headquarters for their characters to call home.
