V Rising has revealed a gameplay trailer for patch 1.1, which is set to go live on April 28. The update promises to introduce a ton of new content, including a massive uncharted area called the Oakveil Woodlands. On the same day, V Rising will also receive a paid cosmetic DLC, The Eternal Dominance Pack, priced at $19.99. However, the update itself will be entirely free and accessible to all players.

V Rising' s patch 1.0 received primarily positive feedback from the community, as it added multiple requested features. More importantly, the update introduced a new biome, the Ruins of Mortium, featuring over ten new locations to explore. While the upcoming patch may not be as expansive, it still brings a solid set of improvements and fresh features that should keep the fan base engaged for months to come.

V Rising' s patch 1.1, titled Invaders of Oakveil, has a new forest biome filled with fresh enemies and bosses. The update also adds a duel mechanic, which is essentially a customizable PvP matchmaking feature. Fans can also look forward to a wide range of new Castle cosmetics, along with some yet-to-be-revealed functionalities. Even better, the patch expands V Rising' s weapon list with three new weapons and seven additional spells. Players on both Steam and PS5 will be able to download the patch on April 28, 2025.

Fans are hoping the new patch brings more quality-of-life improvements to V Rising. So far, the lack of certain QoL features has been one of the game's most common criticisms. For instance, players have long voiced frustration over the absence of a "craft from storage" option. The feature was so highly requested that modders stepped in to create custom mods, allowing players to craft items without carrying the ingredients in their inventory. Based on the current patch notes, one area that looks set to benefit from QoL improvements is combat.
