While it is possible to recruit every character in a single playthrough, fans who are pursuing that endeavor need to be careful with their choices and actions. This guide is here to elaborate upon that statement, and it will help players recruit every character in Unicorn Overlord.

Some of the recruitable characters have classes that reveal information about the areas from which they come. Players who want to go into the various nations in Unicorn Overlord without any preconceived notions are thus advised to tread lightly when perusing the information that is below.

Unicorn Overlord: How to Recruit All Characters

The vast majority of the characters in Unicorn Overlord are recruited by completing main and optional quests, and they are not missable. Indeed, players can always return to areas that they have left if they did not address a quest and secure its associated character their first time through.

That said, there are more than 20 characters that can be missed. More specifically, players can make choices or sequence their actions in a way that precludes them from enlisting certain characters. Those characters have been marked with asterisks (*) and bolded in the following table (which provides an approximate order in which the characters are met), and tactical RPG fans who want to make sure that they secure every recruit should look carefully at those entries.

It is absolutely possible to beat Unicorn Overlord without recruiting every character, and players who discover that they have missed some recruits should thus not become overly concerned.
