How to Unlock the Black Market Shop In Unicorn Overlord

There are many items that you can purchase in Unicorn Overlord, whether you're looking for some new armor and weapons at the Armorer or some healing potions to keep your team alive at the Provisioner. Outside these places, though, there are a few hidden dealers who have rarer and more powerful stock.

This includes the Black Market Dealer, a secret shop that can only be located in certain areas at certain times. Unlocking this shop can be highly beneficial for leveling up your Unicorn Overlord team and providing them with the best gear possible. Here's how you can unlock the Black Market Dealer.

How to Unlock the Black Market Dealer in Unicorn Overlord

Before you're given the chance to come in contact with the Black Market Dealer, you'll need to complete a few quests in that region. In particular, you'll want to take part in Liberation Quests and Side Quests, which allow you to free a new town within the nation. This, in turn, will complete the quest, 'The Black Market Trader', which will be given to you the first time you visit the secret shop.

For the first Black Market Dealer in Cornia, players should try to complete around 13 Liberation Quests, with the following as a few suggestions:

The Battle for Barbatimo
The Battle for Paradis
The Battle for Lisiere
The Battle for Prashvari
The Battle for Riviere
The Battle for Plaine
The Battle for Istania
As the Tricorns Ride
Province of Famine
The Winged Knight
The Mercenary's Trial
Uprooting the Rock Rats
A Solitary Resistance
The Blade of House Meillet
The Self-Effacing Sorcerer

You don't have to complete all of these, so you can pick and choose based on which ones will be easiest for you to tackle first. All these quests can be found within Cornia, and they will either be a Liberation Quest or a Side Quest. After completing 13 or more of these, you'll be able to unlock the Black Market Dealer's wares.

Where to Find the Black Market Dealer in Unicorn Overlord

Now that you've met the criteria to unlock the secret Black Market Dealer, you should be able to find them within Cornia. Just northwest of Grupont Town, you'll notice a lone man standing alone at the fork in the road. If this is your first time approaching him, he will give you "The Black Market Dealer" quest, which you will immediately complete if you've liberated enough towns in the area.

Now, if you want to be able to search through his wares, you'll have to wait until it is nighttime. You can pass the time either just by waiting a bit, taking part in a few battles, or just wandering around and doing some foraging for deliveries. Once you approach him at night, he will give you a look into everything he has to offer.
