In order to deploy new units during a battle or use a Valor Skill in Unicorn Overlord, you must use Valor Points. However, in each battle, you will only have a maximum amount of 10 Valor Points. But, there are a multitude of ways that you can replenish this gauge if you need to.
Valor Points will be an incredibly important aspect of all of your battles in Unicorn Overlord, so you'll need to focus on keeping its gauge filled to have the edge in battle. This guide will show you all the ways that you can restore Valor Points in battle.

How to Restore Valor Points In Battle
Once you're already in the heat of battle, there are quite a few ways that you can bring back Valor Points if you're low. Here's everything you can do.
Defeat Enemies
Whenever you're in the middle of a Main Quest, Side Quest, or Overworld Quest, there will be multiple enemy units coming for you and your team. To gain back some Valor Points, you can beat each of these individual units with any of your deployed units.
Liberate Towns and Fortresses
As you'll find in Unicorn Overlord, there are many towns and fortresses spread across the five nations. Whenever you're in battle, you'll have the chance to stop at the towns and fortresses in the area and gain control over them for some Valor Points in return. You'll also be able to send some of your units to the towns and fortresses for some much-needed rest and Stamina Recovery.
Withdraw Units
Finally, the last method you can use in battle to gain a little bit of Valor Points back is to withdraw one of your deployed units. To do this, you'll need to visit the Command Post where you started the stage. When you arrive, you'll want to select the Command Post, and there will be an option for 'Withdraw'. If you choose to withdraw a unit, you'll receive 1 Valor Point in return.

How to Restore Valor Points Using Items
Outside using strategies in the middle of battle to restore your Valor Points, you can also utilize some items in your inventory if you're out of other options at the time. This includes Hallowed Corne Ash, which can be used to recover 2 Valor Points, or revive a downed unit on your team.
Hallowed Corne Ash can be picked up from the overworld, similar to materials you can pick up for deliveries. Hallowed Corne Ashe is usually located within abandoned ruins. It isn't guaranteed you'll get Hallowed Corne Ash from here, however. But, you can also purchase it from the Divine Shard Exchange vendor in Rondmort Church. Each one will cost two Divine Shards.
