It is highly recommended that players allow the experiments to continue in the Tormented Helm side quest, as doing so will lead to the recruitment of Tatiana. Indeed, the only way that Unicorn Overlord players can enlist this Cleric into the Liberation Army is to select that first dialogue option, and Tatiana will be inaccessible for the rest of the game if the second option is pursued.

Opting to end the experiments yields five Elixirs, consumable items that revive incapacitated combatants with 100% health. While those powerful items are quite rare, Revival Orbs and Valor Skills are usually enough to get a downed character back on their feet, and it is not worth sacrificing Tatiana's recruitment for them.

For those players that would like to know more about the character that they will be recruiting by allowing the experiments to continue, Clerics focus on healing, and they can be extremely helpful in battle. In fact, it is highly recommended that fans put a Cleric in at least one of their frequently-deployed units in Unicorn Overlord, as that will give them access to the Heal Valor Skill during combat. Players may even want to make the Cleric the leader of the unit in order to activate the Healing Assist Leader Effect.

Healing Assist allows the Cleric to heal a nearby allied unit when it engages in a fight. While activating that effect will cost the Cleric's unit one Stamina, Healing Assist is very powerful and can completely change the outcome of a battle in Unicorn Overlord.

One final thing to mention is that Tatiana is certainly not the only missable character in Unicorn Overlord, and players will make many choices throughout the game that ultimately inform the recruits that they are able to enlist. Fans do not need to worry about that too much, though, as more than 40 characters are recruited simply by completing quests. Quite certainly, that is a significant number of characters, and it is more than enough to create several very powerful units.
