Less than two weeks before its release, Steel City Interactive has delayed the Undisputed Championship Edition. The new edition, which will include four Undisputed DLC fighter packs, was initially set to release on October 21, but will now be available for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC on October 28. No reason for the delay was specified by the studio, but it has been confirmed that a "major" game update will also be released alongside the Championship Edition.
Undisputed's Championship Edition was revealed back in September, as Steel City Interactive confirmed that the new edition will come with four DLC fighter packs, one of which still remains a mystery. Following his impressive win over Canelo Alvarez, Terrence Crawford features as the cover star for the Championship Edition. Players will also receive an additional contemporary Terence Crawford as part of the new edition, but existing players will also receive the fighter for free. Those who already own the base game will be able to upgrade to the Championship Edition for a special price and receive all of Undisputed's DLC packs.
Undisputed May Reset Players' Stats in Next Update
Undisputed developer Steel City Interactive says it may finally reset players' in-game records with the title's next major patch update.
Undisputed Championship Edition Now Releasing October 28
The Championship Edition, which was originally set to launch on October 21, will now be available for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC on October 28, Steel City Interactive has confirmed. The reason for the delay remains a mystery, but the studio did confirm that a major game update for Undisputed will also be released on the same date. Anybody who isn't planning on purchasing the Championship Edition, but does want to get their hands on the fourth mystery DLC, will be pleased to know that it will also be released on the same day, making October 28 a huge day for Undisputed players.
Steel City has yet to share the details of what will be included in the game's next update, but has urged fans to stay tuned as further information is on the way. The last major update came back in August, adding two new fighters to Undisputed, adjusting existing fighters, fixing numerous gameplay issues and bugs, and rebalancing speed stats for fighters when switching to Southpaw. Fans have been patiently waiting for new improvements ever since, with some criticizing Steel City's decision to release a Championship Edition while numerous gameplay issues remain unaddressed.
With that being said, Steel City is about to release a highly requested change with the next update, as it has now confirmed it will be resetting players' stats in the next Undisputed patch on October 28. Steel City put out a poll to fans earlier in the week, questioning whether or not the community wanted the studio to reset player records in the next update. The results quickly came flooding in, with 85% of votes opting for Steel City to reset records.
