After having overcome several hurdles, Tom Holland's Uncharted movie was in the middle of capturing principal photography in Berlin when the novel coronavirus decided to become a pandemic and shut down the film's development, along with multiple other projects within the entertainment industry.
But it looks like the Uncharted film may actually be able to start its production back up next week. According to Hollywood Reporters' Heat Vision, insiders have told it that the live-action film adaptation of Uncharted will resume filming in Germany on July 20.
Tom Holland's recent actions pretty much confirm this. He just got his hair cut to be more in line with Nathan Drake's hairstyle. Holland also recently had a COVID-19 test done live for his fans to see on Instagram, claiming it was in preparation to begin filming for the Uncharted movie.
According to Heat Vision, the film set will take all the precautions it can to combat the virus, and Germany already has strict rules in place for social distancing, along with mask requirements for all personnel not on camera. However, while Uncharted's production may be coming back, the coronavirus is unpredictable, and things could change depending on how the illness chooses to behave. Hopefully, things go smoothly, though.
Uncharted is currently slated to premiere in theatres on July 16, 2021.
